Chapter 16

Rachael's PoV
"what do you mean Bella is missing" i yelled. " i don't know she got a call from her mum so i left her alone for five minutes. an- and she's gone" alice said worried. "this must of be the tracker. he must be dividing her from us so she's easier to get to" jasper said sterner focused. the neves started to build up inside me again. Alice's phone rang once more. it was edward alice went in to other room and began explaining to him what has happened. i turned to Jasper. "what now" i asked concerned . "she must be heading to the ballet studio from alice's vision. we will have to find it." he said intensely. "we can't do that god knows how many studios are here. it would take to long she could be dead by then" i yelled in frustration and panic. turning to my suitcase and looked for something anything . I eventually thought of a gambit.grabbing a book a map and some black sand and began to set it up on the floor. "what are you doing" jasper said confused. "there's this this called a locater spell. if i can sum up enough power i hopefully will be able to find her." i said threw my anxiety. "hopefully?" he questioned with concern. "i'll be fine but you should leave incas i start to bleed" i said gathering my focus for the spell. "the doesn't sound like you'll be fine!" he snapped walking over to me to try and stop me. "this is the best way to find bella" i said pleading he won't stop me. "we can't save Bella if we are trying to stop you from bleating to death." he yelled. "stay or leave but i'm doing this spell" i said beginning to chant. "stop" he snapped. before being interrupted. "Edward,Carlisle and Emmett are on there way they should be here shortly" alice said . "tell them i'm doing a spell that should locate bella" i said taking a calming breath before continue
. "you to should go to and i'll stay on call to tell you where she is"  alice quickly looked at jasper in question. "you go i'll stay here" jasper said alice quickly ran out. "you need to go to make sure you family is safe" i said. "no because i makes sure you-" he began before holding his breath and tensing up. i could feel the blood starting to drip from my nose. "you need to leave you can't be around my blood" i whimpered as pain started to grow in my head. he instantly shook his head. jasper lunged at the furthest side of the room. his face turned animalistic but he was holding himself back and my fear of jasper started to creep back. I couldn't be scared there was no time to be.i continued the spell it was working but all i could do was feel my pain and my strength dwindling. "rachael you need to stop" jasper   chocked out.trying to stay in control. "i can't" i said and thought came to mind. "i need to channel you" i said to jasper. "what" he said confused. "if i join your strength to mine i might be able to complete the spell" i said scared. "just take my hand" i said extending my arm. he hesitantly approaching me. he let out  a slight snarl. it was like looking into the face of a wild tiger. he grabbed my hand and started to relax slightly. i then begin the spell again trying to focus on jasper. i stared into his wild pitch black eye.
while chatting i begin to feel his eyes suck me in. i was soured by black
it was like i was trapped in deaths web. it was cold and daunting. i could see flickers of jasper's memories. the deaths. the misery radiated off each sene.all of jasper's darkest moments. i then saw a flicker of a gold light.the deeper i went the light grew and  got brighter and brighter.
i reached out to touch it the darkness the faded away and the light grew.i then felt something i had never felt from jasper before. it was joy, love and warmth and something i didn't expect. innocence. i saw all his happy memories. his first time meeting Alice he was covered in water in a small old fashioned diner. how confused yet full of joy his first time being welcomed into his family, his wedding with alice. and oddly a memory of us me singing in his car and him looking at me in annoyance with a light smirk.i then snapped out my trances and was back in the hotel room. "it worked" i whispered out looking at the map. i then look back at jasper who looked almost stunned. "jasper" i said trying to get his attention. "jasper!"i yelled snapping him out of it "we found her you need to go and help your family. i'll call them and tell them where to go" i said with jasper still giving me an intense stair. "why are you still sitting here go" i said. "right" he said still stunned before running out.

an hour went past of me worrying for everyone. all i could do was was walk up and down the hotel room and think about the safety of everyone. bust most of all what i saw and felt while channeling jasper. in the spell book it said when channeling another creature not only do you look upon there thoughts but you look into there very soul. so was that what jasper's. soul was death and light battening both misery and love. i felt his dark parts before but no where near that intensely and the light was something i've never felt before. it was the most beautiful thing i've ever felt. i didn't know if this meant i've be a idiot believing he was a monster or it confirms it. my phone ranger causing me to sprint to answer. "hello" i said.
"Rachael it's carlisle  you need to come to phoenix hospital" he said softly. "what happened.please tell me bella is ok" i said concerned. "she's going to be fine. she has suffered for a few injuries but she'll recover" he said. "ok well i'm on my way" i instantly hung up and began to leave until i heard a whisper but it was unfamiliar and cold. "find me" a shiva crawled down my spine. i stood there a minute waiting for some type of feeling. normally with whispers i feel something but this one i felt nothing.

i finally arrived at the hospital. i quickly went to the front desk. " hey i'm here to see my friend Isabella swan what room is she in" i ask. the woman quickly started typing. "Rachael" heard a calm voice from behind me. it was Carlisle. i quickly rushed over to him. "where's Bella" i asked. "she's fine she's just woken up. she's with edward" he said. "ok well bring me to her" i said. "are sure you are ok to see her" he asked i was suspicious of his question i wasn't the one harmed. "yes i'm fine" i said confused.

i eventually came to bella's room. she looked severely beaten up. her leg was in a cast. she was covered in bandages and a tube in her nose. "hey" she said softly. "hey" is all i could say in. "so how are holding up" she asked. "how am i holding up. i should be asking you that" i said sitting on her bed. she just responded with a awkward smile. " Bella what where you thinking" i said. "i thought he had my mum." she began. "i also felt guilty i dragged you into my mess knowing how much you didn't want to be involved" she said apologetically. "Bella i it wasn't your fault.i made the decision to get involved. none of this is your fault" i said holding her bruised hand. "i'm sorry i didn't listen to you" she sobbed out. "Bella you are in love with Edward and he loves you. i was a shitty friend to stand in the way" i said. "you where just worried but your not a shit friend" she said. my smile instantly grew " i guess i am a really good friend considering i brought this" i said pulling out are large bar of chocolates. "i thought it would help with the recovery. after all what has better healing properties then chocolate" i joked she let out a small dry laugh. "hey kiddo" Charlie said entering the room. "hey" Bella returned. "Rachael just so you know you should probably check your phone .your dad has been trying to call you i think he's worried" Charlie said. "oh" i respond before looking at my phone. twenty miss calls. "i'll let you guys to talk while i go and call my dad" i said before getting up and leaving the room. i started to fidget with my phone trying to find the courage to call. i finally caved and clicked his name. "h-hey" i began. " Rachael are you ok" he said in a panic before continuing
"i heard Bella is in the hospital"
"i'm fine and so is she" i said looking at the dried blood on my sweater. "Rachael i can't believe you would do something so stupid" he yelled. " i know dad but i had to" i whispered. "you can't put yourself in danger like that.i'm sorry for letting you practice magic" he said "don't be i've hated being a witch but today made me feel proud. proud that i could actually do something with this power" i said. "rachael you don't know what you are saying." he said sadly. "dad i'm sorry i shut you out but you can't change what i am" i said. "i know i just don't want you to get killed" he said  "dad i won't i promise i'll be more careful" i said trying to find some middle ground. "Rachael you need to stop practicing" he said firmly "what now that i'm finally accepting this part of myself your just going to take it away" i said saddened. "promise me" he said firmly. "fine" i said hanging up my phone and  taking a deep breath. i began humming to myself to calm myself.
