I didn't see him the next day. I followed the girl from the airport to her hotel, to the court, to the restaurant, everywhere, taking care she wouldn't notice me. It was the day of the trial, I waited outside, and guided her back to her hotel. She went over a big bridge, not taking any vehicle to be sure.

A man walked straight towards her, yelling something I couldn't understand. I hid behind a post, loading my gun, I pointed at him.

"I'm sorry.", Ashton said behind me.

"Shut up, I'm on a mission."

"I know, I just wanted you to know."

"Okay."

"I don't believe you."

"Listen....", I turned around completely annoyed, but then I heard a shot, I turned again, seeing the woman falling to the ground.

"You ruined my mission! You freaking asshole!"

"I know"

"You know?! Because of you this woman died! I protected her for two days and then you come and ruin everything! Did you plan this!?", he didn't answer.

I freaked out and attacked him, throwing him on the ground, punching his face, he choked me, both of us not afraid of losing the other. We rolled over a few times, closer to the edge with every move. I looked at him before I threw him over, dragging me down with him. We hit the hard water, after a few seconds of free fall. He fainted seconds later, I pulled him back to the surface and back to land.

"I'm sorry, I didn't meant to kill you for real.", I shook him, a few tears in my eyes.

He opened his eyes and looked me, a small smile on his face.

"Neither did I.", he smiled.

I just pulled him in my arms, crying, and kissing him.

"What about a new start? Without killing. Just forget the past and start over?"

"I would love to. I always loved you."

"So did I. Sorry, about your mission, but don't worry she's okay. Forgive me but the last thing was my plan. I wanted to provoke real feelings in you."

"You stupid bastard!", I kissed him again, happy that no one died because of me.

"Will you come back to the agency?"

"Maybe, but let's see if it works, before we're stuck together again."

"Okay.", I hugged him.

The end.
