you walk home form the woods confused about the change of day on your phone, you assume that it has something to do with the box but not sure what it could possibly mean
when you arrive at your home it is covered in investigation tape and there are police cars outside in your drive. you walk up to an officer and ask what's happening
he stares at you for a moment as if he had seen you somewhere before before replying in the usual police authority "have you not heard? there was a missing person who lives in this house they were reported missing 2 days ago but were last seen a day before that"
"but this is my house i just moved in a couple of weeks ago" you reply with confusion about what the officer had told you.
you offer to give proof if you have to. even though you don't have any on you and there's a low chance that you will be let onto the scene without becoming an officer
to your surprise he says that you will have to talk to his chief to see what to do next
a few hours later, after being questioned by the police you can finally go home. there is no real time to properly sleep so you just lay there on your bed pondering if you should return to the box or if you should just forget about it and continue with your life.
upon further thought you decide your best cause of action is to ask for a second opinion from your best friend. you leave them a text indirectly asking what you should do over WhatsApp not expecting a response but to your surprise they are online after about 5-10 minutes. seeming confused at the randomness of the question they tell you that you should go back but be cautious if you do so.
A couple hours later, you take there advice and go back to the box.......
