~Tubbo's POV~

I felt tears prick my eyes as I smiled and thanked Fundy profusely. He nodded, the blank look on his face reminding me somewhat of Techno and Wilbur.

"Trust me, I'll be out of your hair before you know it... Is d-Phil here right now? I really need to talk to him, if that's alright obviously.." I said, trailing off towards the end.

"... You'll have to ask him when he comes back. Go sit down on the couch and don't even think about waking dad or Tommy up. I'm gonna get some tea and milk for your kid" Fundy seemed slightly hesitant as he walked out, ears firmly lying against his hair as his tail flicked side to side aggressively.

... Guess I'd really pissed him off huh.

I glanced over at the couch, sitting down in the far corner. Michael squirmed out of my jacket and looked around, his ears twitching as he sniffed the air curiously.

"Piggy" He stated, pointing at Ghostbur.

"No no, sorry honey bee but none of my family are piglin, except techno of course.." I smiled as he wriggled off my lap onto the couch beside me.

"No, 'ook!" Mikey tugged my jacket sleeve and snorted a couple of words out in piglin.

To my surprise, Ghostbur huffed back something sounding reminiscent of piglin as he slowly woke.

~Third Person's POV~

"What are you doing up so early Techy" Ghostbur oinked back to the small piglin, clearly mistaking him for his younger brother.

Michael snorted and giggled quietly, "I'm not 'techy' mister. My name's Michael". The small piglin outstretched his tiny arm to the ghost, offering a handshake.

Barely awake, Ghostbur smiled and shook his hand sleepily. "Well it's a pleasure to meet you little one, My name's Ghostbur"

Tubbo watched in fascination, how had he never realised his 'brother' was part piglin. Paying closer attention, he noticed a gap in the older's lower jaw. He now recognised it as where tusks had been pulled.

... How had he never noticed... Tubbo knew a piglin's tusks were about as precious to them as an avian's wings were to them. He'd learnt that from Michael who, when his tusks first began to grow in, had been so enthusiastic about the small teeth, showing them off to everyone and anyone who would watch. Yet, he refused to let anyone touch them. He got incredibly defensive, he would sometimes start growling and usually, dashed towards Ranboo or Tubbo.

Ghostbur sat up, rubbing his eyes and yawning. Still knackered, he wrapped his tail around Michael and lifted him up towards himself.

Michael squealed and made grabby hands towards the ghost as he scooped up the piglin into his arms. He seemed oblivious to his surroundings as his slightly spiked ear twitched. A quiet rumble came from his chest as he began to purr and cuddled Michael towards him.

"Dad? Tubbo's here too..." Fundy said quietly, now standing at the doorway holding a mug and a sippy cup, as Ghostbur quickly pulled his tail beneath his sweater.

He looked over at the goat as the purring stopped and he smiled nervously, "Tubbo, hey! How are you?"

Tubbo smiled back sadly, "Yeah... I'm good"

He handed Michael back to his father, much to his own disappointment as his ears drooped slightly. Mikey wined at the loss of the purring noise.

"You can keep hold of him if you want Ghostbur, he seems to really like you," Ghostbur perked up at this and pulled Michael back to sit in his lap gently.
