8 The Mind Flayer

Y/N's POV.

"You're positive that was Dart?".Lucas asks as we walk on the train tracks.

"Yes.He had the exact same yellow pattern on his butt".Dustin replies.

"He was tiny two days ago".Max says and I look down at her.

"Well,he's molted three times already".Dustin says.

"Malted?".Steve looks at him.

"Molted".Dustin says. "Shed his skin to make room for growth like hornworms".

"When's he gonna molt again?".Max asks.

"It's gotta be soon.When he does,he'll be fully grown or close to it.And so will his friends".Dustin replies.

"Yeah and he's gonna eat alot more than just cats".Steve says.

"Wait,a cat?Dart ate a cat?".I say making everyone stop.

"No,what?No".Dustin says.

"What are you talking about?He ate Mews".Steve says.

"Mews?Who's Mews?".Max asks.

"It's Dustins cat".Steve replies.

"Steve!".Dustin shouts.

"I knew it!You kept him!".Lucas looks at Dustin.

"No!No...I.He missed me.He wanted to come home".Dustin says.

"Bullshit".Lucas says.

"I didn't know he was a demogorgon,ok?".Dustin says.

"Oh,so now you admit it".

"Just stop it,guys.It doesn't matter now".I tell them.

"No.Dustin broke the rule of law".Lucas looks at me.

"So did Y/N.She told a stranger the truth,but obviously you don't care because you like Max!".Dustin shouts.

I get a weird feeling in my stomach when Dustin says that and I start to feel a bit mad.

"You wanted to tell her too!".Lucas shouts. "You like her aswell!".

"Can you two just stop arguing?Both of us broke the rules but it doesn't matter anymore".I say.

There's a screeching sound coming from the distance and we all look at each other before walking towards the sound.

"No,no,no.Hey guys,why are you headed towards the sound?".Max shouts but after a second I hear her running after us.

We walk out of the wood and Lucas looks around.

"It's the lab".Lucas says. "They were going back home".

To get to the lab,we have to walk down a bit of a hill.Somehow,I didn't fall and in a couple mintues we were walking out of the woods.

"Who's there?Who's there?".We hear someone say.

"Who's that?".I ask but no one says anything.

As we walk out,we can see it's Nancy and Johnathan.

"Steve?".They both say.

"Nancy?".Steve looks at her.

"Johnathan?".Dustin says.

"What are you doing here?".Nancy asks as they walk over to us and we walk over to them.

"What are you doing here?".Steve replies.

"We're looking for Mike and Will".Nancy says.

"They're not in there are they?".Dustin asks.
