Meaning

As she began her journey, her thoughts flowed backward to the good old days. She remembers her first baby steps with her once favorite toy. Little did she know where these steps would lead her one day. Preschool life flashed her eyes as she remembered her pinky promise towards her childhood friend to stick together forever, a promise long broken after all these years. She recalls her parents who once celebrated her first primary school drawing and stuck it high on the refrigerator. As she grew older, she realized they began to become busier with her siblings and jobs so her little achievements were not celebrated as before. She also remembers the moment she came home with a failed report card, as her valuable reasons upon her failure weren't for discussion. Everyone, including strangers began to judge so she aimed to prove their words wrong. She worked really hard, until late night revising and practicing for the next examination. Gossips about herself fully ignored. Her results were announced on the big day to answer their false words. That's when she truly realized how happy her family was to see her under the spotlight.
