She dreams a world so vast and wide,

A place where unicorns can glide,

Where princes come to save the day,

And love can chase all fears away.

With innocence upon her face,

She wanders through this wondrous place,

Her eyes alight with endless hope,

Her heart as vast as any scope.

But as the days roll slowly by,

Her smile fades, and tears she'll cry,

Her unicorn transforms to beast,

A symbol of her inner feast.

A blade adorns her slender waist,

As she roams on with bitter taste,

Guarding her broken heart within,

She's lost the faith to love again.

Yet deep beneath that cold, hard mask,

Lies a girl with hopes that last,

A child with dreams she cannot quell,

A heart that's longing to be well.

For all she wants is someone true,

A love to help her make it through,

To break down walls that keep her in,

To see the girl that lies within.

So she confides in the cold moon,

A lover that will hear her tune,

She talks about her life and heart,

And hopes that love will play its part.

And in that moment, you will see,

The girl she's longing to set free,

A hopeless romantic, full of love,

A girl that dreams of stars above.
