Darkness, my dear friend,

Are you the only true one until the very end?

I'm here once again savoring your sweet embrace,

The same embrace I once was afraid .

Dear darkness, you're truly underrated,

For all the company in solitude you've have given,

Your existence, it must be cherished,

For all the pain is felt then vanished.

You don't look welcoming, maybe that's why away I fleet,

But now you're my salvation, where I long to retreat,

You're so promising, that I will never leave,

I long for you every minute, in the shadows I seek.

Oh sweet darling, you held me tight for every tear I spilled,

You're the only comfort, since this child even learnt to speak,

Your cold embrace at night, my luxury fort,

You never complained, when you hear me talk.

Nobody knows, but you're my sweet escape,

You were there every second, when I fell for the games of fate,

So serene, so cozy, it'll never be prune.

You're a beauty, when you let light shine bright,

Comforting the raging stars that burn at night,

You're selflessness, a home for lost souls,

Dear darkness, I wish to forever be buried in your safety,

My heart longs for you, you're now my sweet sanctuary,

Take me with you, hold me in so tight,

Keep away from anything else, I'm still not ready for another fight.

Oh dear haven, I long for that very engulf,

Through the storms I'll cling onto you, every passing cold scuff,

I'm afraid no more, to get lost into your endlessness,

Now looking forward to my very own fortress.

Your spells never fails, not even a flower that withers,

Desperately needing support, you're right there as eyes closes.

Trustworthy. Even the moon only appears in your attendance,
