Lost and Broken

My dear friend, it seems you're feeling down,

Your thoughts are heavy, wearing a frown.

You question if you belong in this place,

And if the world deserves to see your face.

Your heart is burdened, your soul in pain,

You wonder if you're just a burden to sustain.

You seek validation and a place to belong,

But the snakes behind the masks feel so wrong.

You wear your heart on your sleeve, so true,

But sometimes that leads to feeling blue.

You wonder if you'll ever learn your lesson,

Or if you're just stuck in a never-ending procession.

The generational trauma weighs heavy on your heart,

And you question if you're just another victim from the start.

Anxiety, depression, it's all too much to bear,

But you take it with a brave face, pretending not to care.

You wonder if you're broken beyond repair,

If there's no hope left for you anywhere.

But my dear friend, please hear me when I say,

There's a light at the end of the tunnel, just a little far away.

You're not alone in this, my dear,

And there's no need for you to fear.

Take one step at a time, don't give up the fight,

For there's a future waiting for you, bright and light.

You deserve to be saved, to be loved and cherished,

To be embraced and never to be perished.

So hold on tight and don't let go,

For soon you'll find your way, that I know.

You are not an intruder in your own home,

And your worth is more than just a comb.

You are the light bringer, the shining star,

And you'll find your way, no matter how far.

So don't give up hope, my dear,

For the world needs you to persevere.

You're not alone, you're not broken,

And there's so much love yet to be spoken.
