Chapter One

On the outskirts of clayton city stood a matte black jeager that has the same chassis as the late gipsy danger but this jeager was none other than the Ace of Spades once piloted by the duo of sean and reece parker but within its conpod stood only one person who managed to survive the hell that is the black and he didnt realise what this day was about to hold for him

Reece: ace are you sure those jeager signal's were orginating from here?
Ace: affirmative
Reece: alrighty then do we know the make and model's?
Ace: one is atlas destroyer once a battle jeager turned trainning jeager the other is unknown
Reece: hold on atlas destroyer is still functional well i'll be
Ace: suggestion enter city limits and find the source of unknown jeager
Reece: ok i guess this is the homecoming im having
Reece piloted ace into the ruins of his old town
Reece: ohhhh clayton city what have they done to you
Ace: atlas destroyer is too your left
Reece stopped walking and turned to his left
Reece: huh like the last time i saw her wait she has a different right arm she has been in a scrap here comsidering this fresh kaiju blue everywhere
Ace: four life signals detected
Reece: survivors?
Ace: unknown but closest signal is at atlas's feet
Reece looked down and couldn't believe his eyes
Reece: is that? Nooo? Holy shit??? She is alive!!!
Reece placed ace's right fist on the ground before stopping the drift
Reece: ace keep the power running just in case
Ace: affirmative
Reece climbed out the conpod and down the right arm to the ground where he was instantly greeted by a punch to the gut
Reece: yeeoouch hi to you too mei
Mei: you do not get to hi mei me idiot
Reece: well what would like me to say then mei the last time i saw you, you refused to listen to me about shane then i find you here in our home city
Mei: wait your from here too?
Reece: erm yeah duh wait ughhhh for fuck sake i forgot shane changed your memories
Mei: im aware joel told me the same thing
Reece: ahhh good old joel one of the only people i liked in bogon during my short stay but anyway i see you escaped bogon and shane
Mei: y..yeah the pilots of atlas helped alot
Reece: good ol atlas destroyer its been awhile since i seen her
Mei: you know of atlas?
Reece: hmm oh yeah she is or was a trainning jeager she was used by a good friend of mine in the PPDC cadets obviously since my father and uncle were pilots of ace before me i was allowed to use ace
Mei: how is he speaking if ace
Reece turned his head to look up at the conpod of ace
Reece: he's erm my home away from home i guess the last thing i have of my dad and...... you
Mei: me?
Reece: you had a part in my escape even if i want to take you with me, you arent the women the grew up here with no offence
Mei: n....none taken i guess
Reece: you want your memories back don't you?
Mei: i want me back the old me before shane, before bogon, before this stupid god forsaken black
Reece: hmmm i see
Reece looked up at the conpod of ace and he smirked
Mei: i might not remember a whole lot about you but i do know that when you smirk it means you have something planned
Reece: im going to give you your memories back if you'll allow me
Reece extended his hand to mei who look at it then to his face then back to his hand for slowly taking it
Reece: alright come on
Mei followed reece back up into the conpod of ace and when she walked in she was welcomed by the jeager's AI
Ace: Afternoon mei its been a long time
Mei: hmm indeed it has
Reece: alright ace do you think you can help me help mei regain her memories
Ace: it is possible that mei will regain one hundred percent of her memories back in the drift
Mei: then lets do this
Reece: alright ace suit us up
Ace: may i remind you that your still suited up
Reece looked down at himself and chuckled
Reece: well i'll be damned i am well suit her up then
Once mei was suited up she stepped up next to reece who was getting the system ready
Reece: ok you ready
Mei: as i'll ever be
Reece: ace
Ace: starting drift cycle right hemisphere calabrated left hemisphere calabrated drift at ome hundred percent
Reece: well what do ya know we drift compatiable aswell alright time to reveal to you your memories
Reece closed his eyes as did mei and reece let his memories flow as mei saw all the memories reece had of the two from when they kids, from when they were in school, from the day he left for jeager pilot trainning and finally admitted his true feelings for the sixteen year old version of herself and she felt all his pain, guilt, sadness and happiness but reece on the other hand saw all things shane had made her do and what he did to do it and it angered him but he managed to keep calm as he felt himself get snapped back in the restrains of the jeager along with mei which snapped him out of his daze
Reece: ace problems
Ace: none drift is still holding steady the feedback is most likely from the locked away memories mei had being unlocked again
Reece looked over at mei who was staring of into space
Reece: m....mei
Mei: i remember
Reece: huh?
Mei: i remember reece i remember everything me, you, what we had hell what we were all this time you had to look at the face of your girlfriend knowning she didnt know you like you did her
Reece: yeah the black takes many things from different people i guess it.........wait you remember us like everything
Mei: right down to you giving me a promise ring saying you would return to me and me saying that i'd wait for you
Reece: do you erm still have it?
Mei nodded as she removed her right glove and there on her third finger sat the silver ring
Reece: holy shit
Mei: shane tried to make me remove it but i refused i guess some peice of me remembered you
Reece: ohh this day couldn't get any better
Ace: three life signals appraoching two of them appear to be showing signs of deep stress
Reece: lets go
Reece and mei climb back out of the conpod and down to the ground just as two people running towards them shouting for mei until one skidded to a stopped
Reece: taylor?
Taylor: reece?
Reece: HAHAH YOU'RE ALIVE YOU PUNK
Taylor: Haha says the one
Reece: yeah yeah how are you man
Taylor: stressed but other wise good oh you remember hayley right
Reece: blond about knee high?
Taylor: she might be a bit taller now
Hayley: TAYLOR HELP BOY!!
Taylor quickly looked at the hayley before his eyes widened
Taylor: mei can you help him
Reece looked over mei's right shoulder and he saw what looked to be a kaiju tick on the kid chest so he quickly grabbed mei's pistol out of her leg holster and shot the tick making everyone jumped back in shock
Reece: there problem solved
Mei: is that my gun?
Reece: pffft no this little thing oh no its noy your
Mei: reece i felt you take it idiot
Reece: yet you didnt stop me
Mei: now what type of girlfriend would i be if didnt trust you
Taylor: hold on girlfriend what excatly happened while we were gone
Reece: well since i found mei standing here alone im guessing you were chasing the kid
Hayley: boy
Reece: boy, kid whatever
Taylor: yes hayley chased after him i foller after her
Reece: damn im lucky im a single child
Mei: are you going to explain to them or not
Reece: long story short mei now has all her memories back thanks to ace and myself
Taylor: that still doesnt explain the girlfriend?
Reece: oh my days taylor i asked her out before i left for pilot trainning she said yes so i gave her a promise ring telling her that i'd come to her then this shit show happened and ta da here we fucking are
Hayley: can you help boy mei
Mei: the ticks gone but those wounds look deep
Reece: hmm if only newton or gottlieb were around they'd know something
Mei: i do know of someone who could help but he lives among kaiju
Reece: great we go to him and slaughter all the kaiju, force him to heal the kid then boom sydney base here we come
Mei: only problem with that is he lives in never never valley
Reece: ohhhhhh FOR FUCK SAKE I JUST WALKED BY THERE A FUCKING HOUR AGO AHHHH
Mei: stop moaning but if your heading to sydney why go away from it to come here
Reece: history this place reminds me of what i once had and what i once thought was lost turns out clayton city was actually the one place thay gave me something rather than take it away

Mei rolled her eyes before looking at taylor
Taylor: so this guy is in the never never valley
Mei: yep
Hayley: we better get moving then taylor grab boy
Taylor: ugh
Reece: Haha women am i right ooff ok yeah i deserved that one
Mei: yes you did
Reece: well go and suit up taylor we have somewhere to be
Taylor: your coming along?
Reece: hell yeah road trip besides someone has to keep mei alive
Mei: excuse me im not the reckless one here
Reece: she is so lying taylor we'll connect out comms so we can keep in contact
Taylor: ok
Reece: oh before i forget ace will take point y'know more weaponised jeager
Taylor: sounds good to me
Reece: take mei with you three hayley is in no state to jockey
Taylor nodded as reece began climbing back up to the conpod but felt someone watching him so he back
Reece: what?
Mei: why am i to go with them
Reece: like i said princess is in no condition to jockey once she is you can transfer over to ace
Mei: hmm fine
Reece resumed climbing until he reached the conpod
Reece: alright ace change of plans we're heading to never never valley
Ace: affirmative
Reece: also make a connection to atlas destroyer
Ace: connecting comms........ connection complete
Reece: this is ace to atlas do you copy
Taylor: we hear you and shoulf i be worried by the really angry look on mei's face?
Reece: ehh its not aimed at you taylor you should be fine
Taylor: then what did you do?
Reece: shush a sec taylor this is going to get me in so much trouble when we stop but oh well ace activate ghost pilot protocal
Ace: activating ghost pilot protocal choose your pilot
Reece: parker
Ace: affirmative activating drift cycle
Reece closed his eyes and felt the ghost connection of his dad
Ace: drift connection at seventy percent again i must advise you that solo piloting can have lasting effects
Reece: yeah yeah skip the trainning wheels ace becuase likeive said before if i die out here im just another pilot who can't be saved
Taylor: erm reece?
Reece: huh oh did i leave the line open?
Taylor: yeah and now we have avery angry mei on board
Reece: she'll be fine ace is quicker than atlas just lets get a move on
Reece piloted ace to a stand and turned towards the direction of never never valley then sighed
Reece: alright lock and load because the fun begins now
Mei: im killing you when we make never never valley reece
Reece: wow i feel ph so loved
Mei: shut up
Reece: yep she angry
As the sun began to sink into the horizon the two jeagers began there walk toward never never valley unknowning of the coming conflict they would face
