Chapter Four

Previously in the Black's Ace
Reece and the others had managed to escape from never never valley and its kaiju by the skin of their teeth more so for reece then the others but they now found themself in the divide the territory owned by the sisters and place no one wants to be
Now
Loa: would you like me to identify these jeagers?
Taylor: no thanks loa
Ace: would you like me to reece?
Reece: no let these guys rest in peace they are better hero's then we'll ever be
Mei: know what i'd like, cadet? Getting the hell out of this hall of horrors pick up the pace would ya
Taylor: i recongize some of these mechs
Reece: you and me both hell i fought along side one or two of them
Hayley: at least the kaiju aren't chasing us anymore
Mei: of course they're not, they already served their purpose
Taylor: purpose?
Mei: driving us into this death trap
Taylor: does everything with you have to be so dire all the time?
Mei: i used to be fun loving
Reece: isnt that the truth
Before mei could counter his comment alarms started blaring outside
Ace: warning, incomming distress signals multiple and growing
Hayley: what is causing this?!
Reece: the motion sensors were left active ace, mute the alarms!
Mei: and kill the lights, they're making us a target
The lights on both jeagers were turned off and alarms stopped and echoed for a couple moments through the cayon and its walls
Mei: if the sisters didnt't know we crossed The Divide, they do now
Taylor: so? We run through, fight when we have to, come out the other side
Reece: we are soooo screwed ace can i go home?
Ace: clayton city along with your home is in ruins returning home is not a option
Reece: i didnt want a answer ace
Ace: but you asked a question and i am programed to answer it
Reece: your as bad as a women
Mei/hayley: we'll pretend we didnt hear that
Reece: right sorry ladies
Loa: i am now detecting flames ahead
They all looked forward and could see the flames in the distance
Reece: im warning ya's this isnt good
Taylor: lets keep moving
As they approached the flames they could see something written within the flames
Hayley: "The Child"? What, they want boy
Reece: Oh of course they know we have the kid ugh
Reece piloted ace into a sprint and began running ahead
Mei: we can't stop! Go! Go! Follow reece!
Hayley: what does this have to do with boy? How do these Sister even know about him?
Reece: they know a damn kaiju when they see one i knew i should killed it when i had the chance
Mei: wait, stop! Stop!
Taylor: stop for what?
Reece placed ace right hand on atlas left shoulder, powered the jeager down then ran across to atlas and jumped into the conpod just as mei disconnected from the drift
Mei: thats what all this is about bunyip- man said the tick that bit boy was from here, the Sisters sent it!
Hayley: why?
Reece: they knew he'd get sick, and we'd have to hand him over to save him
Hayley: thats crazy, you think they want boy so bad they'd poison him on the off chance we'd come here?
Mei: they sisters don't do anything by chance, you saw how they forced us here
Reece: and now we know they want the kid, he's our ticket out
Taylor: he's right, they haven't attacked because they're afraid boy might get hurt
Mei: we keep him with us till we reach the border, then trade him to the sisters for our freedom
Hayley: taylor! You're actually considering this? He needs help now. He won't last until the border!
Mei: you give him to the Sisters we won't last until the border
Hayley: im not letting boy die because we're too afraid, if they poisoned him, they can heal him
Reece: excatly, we make a deal, we give 'em the kid and they let us leave
Hayley: no!
Mei: are you high?
Hayley: you three are not listening i'll take boy myself, and once he's cured—
Taylor: (groans)
Mei: they get the kid and a new Sister, Brilliant
Hayley: they'll get neither beacuase atlas and ace breaks us out, just like at bogan
Reece: ha im not rescuing your ass princess let alone with ace
Taylor: and bogan was a disaster hayley, me and reece will handle this
Reece: yeah we'll handle this
Mei shoved reece back a step
Mei: the Sisters don't make deals, got it? We cannot give away our leverage
Hayley: leverage? He's a child we rescued and we are going to protect, whatever it takes!
Reece: i am not going to risk my damn life protecting a damn kaiju you want to save the kid, let him go
Taylor: reece has a point, getting you to sdyney, to our parents, is all that matters to me
Hayley: i am not giving him up, now or at the border
Loa:(beeps) kaiju detected ahead
Taylor: what kind is that?
Loa: scans are inconclusive
Reece: maybe its a hybrid the crazy dude said they lived out here
Mei: loa, power up all systems
Taylor: no! Wait! Something's off
Reece: taylor's right honey it's gotta know we're here, why isnt it attacking
Mei: who cares? We have the element of surprise, so lets take it out, loa?
Reece: no loa, we fight only when we have to' cause the next one might be our last
Rumbling was heard and it shook the conpod of atlas
Mei: here it comes
Everyone was silent within the conpod of atlas as the kaiju slowly stomped by as for reece he slowly approached mei's side on instinct
Reece: (queitly) i hope it doesnt see ace becuase there isnt anyone to pilot him
Taylor: (quietly) its passing us
Reece:( quietly) no shit shirlock
Everyone sighed as the kaiju passed by but they all gasps besides reece when clanging was heard
Hayley: what was that
Loa: unknown
Reece: hmm...... wait...... loa do we know the size of that kaiju that just passed?
Loa: affirmative roughly the same size and weight as myself and ace of spades
Reece: then that kaiju didnt pass us by on accident
Mei looked over at reece and saw he was tense yet again
Loa: the hybrid is now out of range
Footsteps could be heard on top of atlas's conpod and mei brought out her pistol
Mei: but it dropped of a passenger
Reece: i have a feeling i know who is above us
Taylor:( gasps) loa, seal the hatchways
Reece's eyes widened as he quickly brought his right arm up to his mouth
Reece: ace seal all the hathways password protection do not open unless you hear myself or mei
Ace: affirmative password protection in effect
Mei: what the hell is the password?
Reece: M31/ R33c3
Mei: the hell type of pasword is that..... wait really reece!?
Reece: its a good password
Taylor: guys talk about that later
Taylor and hayley ran into the drift restraints
Taylor: systems on, initiate drift
Loa: affirmative
Reece: wait guys i can't get to ace he has no way of moving
Taylor: we'll have to drag him with us
Reece nodded and turn to look at mei who was still aiming at the conpod roof
Loa: drift complete
Taylor and hayley started to bring atlas hand to the top of the conpod when a explosion was heard shaking the conpod
Loa: warning, scapular power conduits have been damaged
Hayley: we've lost our arms?
Taylor: can't you bypass them?
Reece: nope she can't
Loa: reece is correct manual repair is required
Mei: first, we get rid of the hitchhiker
Mei ran toward the top hatchway of the conpod
Reece: be careful!!
Mei pushed the hatch open and let loose a couple rounds from her pistol blindly before popping her head out to see nothing but a sparking fire but no signs of the Sister until she felt an eerie presence behind her so she quickly turned and fired at a sister who fell backward off the conpod and into the darkness below only for the hybrid kaiju to rise up next to atlas
Reece: mei!! Get in here! NOW!!
Just as mei was running back into the conpod the kaiju hit atlas backward knocking mei forward off her feet luckly reece dived under neither her and softened the landing
Taylor: loa, where are they?
Loa: unknown, uneven terrain has made it difficult to scan for kaiju
Hayley: they're still our there somewhere, we have to get up
Taylor and hayley tried to move atlas but got nothing
Taylor: ugh! We're stuck
Mei rubbed her head then patted reece's chest lightly while smiling down at him who smiled back before they looked over at taylor and hayley
Mei: it was one of the sisters, she cut some conduits up there
Reece: mei was right like always we are not here by accident, they want the kid
Hayley disconnected just after her brother before walking over to boy
Hayley: i know the Sisters have an antidote we'll force them to let me stay with boy the whole time or face atlas and ace now im taking him out there
Reece who was now standing next to mei grabbed her gun out her hands, cocked it then aimed it at hayley's head
Reece: sorry princess, but request denied
Hayley looked to reece's right and saw the same intimadating look in mei's eyes that was shown in reece's so she snarled and went to grab the gun only for taylor to hold her back
Hayley: (grunting) let me go!
Taylor: listen to me for just for a second, please
Hayley: i am not agreeing to your plan!
Taylor: but have you thought about yours? Really thought about it, i mean, you walking boy right into their arms? Its naive to think we wouldn't lose you both
Hayley: but atlas and ace can
Reece who had lowered the gun now stepped forward
Reece: the jeagers smashing their way in there for some kind of rescure op is too big of a risk to all of us
Taylor: listen, we havent slept in days nobody's thinking clearly
Reece: to be honest i never think clearly too much shit gone on for that
Mei grabbed his hand as he glanced from taylor to mei for a second before returning his attention to the problem in front of them
Taylor: i know, we have nothing but bad options but fixing atlas and possibly ace too so we can defend ourselves is one we can all agree on right? It - - it'll only take a few hours, probably less with reece's help boy will be fine
Reece: yeah you two get some rest, me and taylor will fix the conduits and wake you when we're done
Reece and taylor climbed out onto the conpod and they saw ace leant against the right side of atlas with the conpod face down on atlas's right shoulder so reece walked over and checked the conduits on ace
Reece: hmm strange ace is all fine
Reece shrugged and walked back over to taylor just as he shined his torch on something next to the conduits
Reece: as if we were ever in any doubt to what the sisters were after
Taylor: i dont like this
Reece: neither lets get atlas repaired and quick
Taylor: how's ace
Reece: surprisingly fine my only guess is that they attacked atlas due to boy being on board
Taylor: would make sense
The two began repairing atlas and taylor started to struggle pull one of the conduits so reece gave him a hand but they pulled just a bit to hard and the conduit flew out there hands and it bounced off the conpod and off into the darkness causing taylor and reece to look at each other
Reece: well down we go
The two climbed down and as they looked around for the drop conduit reece notice three sisters watching them from a distance
Reece: taylor
Taylor who had found the conduit turned around and saw what reece was looking at before they looked at each other
Reece: i say we take our chances
Taylor looked up at the two jeagers before nodded so reece climbed back up to the conpod of atlas, retrieved boy without waking mei or hayley then returned to the ground where both taylor and himself approached the sisters and lowered him down in front of them
Taylor: boy i - - i didnt want this, its for hayley you and i both need to keep her safe
Boy slowly turned his and weakly raised his hand to taylor who grabbed it lightly
Reece: we're so sorry kid kaiju or not you dont deserve this
Boy just gave a small smile
Taylor: you got what you wanted
Reece: now the rest of is are leaving this place safely but let me make something very clear crystal clear if it a fight you're after haha well ladies we will fucking  give you one and i guarantee you'll regret it
The two turned and walked away from the sisters, finished the repairs and atlas then returned to the confines of atlas's conpod where reece sat looking at the sleeping form of mei
Reece: taylor lets hope we made the right choice
Taylor: lets hope so
