Chapter Five

Previously on the Black's ace
Reece and taylor both agreed to give boy to the sisters while mei and hayley slept and they both had a feeling they're decision was about to have a great consequence
Now
The sun was starting to rise over the rocky walls of the Divide but within the confines of atlas destroyers conpod stood reece who was looking out of atlas visor and taylor we sat on the edge of very bench boy use to occupie but reece sighed when he heard grunting behind him meaning mei and hayley were waking up from their slumber
Reece: (sighs/queitly) here we go
Mei was the first to open her eyes and look around only to gasp as the sight of taylor and reece
Mei: (scoffs) you didn't
Hayley who was rubbing her eyes spoke first
Hayley: didn't what
Hayley looked to where she saw boy last and found him missing
Hayley: where is he? Taylor, where's boy?
Taylor: we need to go, atlas is fixed
Hayley put everything together and finally realised what had occured while she and mei slept
Hayley: how could you?
Hayley began hit taylor chest in fustration while taylor just stood and took it
Hayley: how could you?!
Taylor finallt grabbed hayley hands to stop her onslaught on his chest
Taylor: it was the onky way, boy will live, we can escape
Hayley finally broke into tears as she pressed her face into her brothers chest while reece lowered his head in shame until mei appraoched him angerly
Mei: you two threw away our only bargaining chip no way the Sisters will let us go now
Mei stepped forward into atlas's drift restraints
Taylor: getting what they want, there's a chance they might i have all of us to worry about, not just boy
Mei: sure, let's trust a death cult hopped up on monster blood get in, we're making a run for it and you get to.....
Reece just raised his hand cutting mei off and left atlas conpod for ace's without a word to either of them and just as he suited back up and got in ace pilot restraints the alarms started blaring
Ace: hybrids detected on fast approach
Reece still remained silent as the communcation link between atlas and ace was actived in time for mei to speak again
Mei: this is on you two cadet, get in!
Atlas and ace rose to their feet but reece heard the sounds of rolling rocks behind them so he quickly pilot ace around to take the attack from a kaiju and push atlas out of the way but knocked atlas forward and of her feet and when taylor and mei finally pilot atlas back to her feet they turned around to see and hear the kaiju pulling at the conpod of ace and the groaning in pain from reece before the kaiju picked ace up and threw him across the ground where reece managed to roll ace over his back and onto his feet again only for a second hybrid kaiju to appeared and went to attack ace but it was block meanwhile atlas remained unnoticed
Mei: why are we not being attacked
Taylor thought hard before his eyes widen
Taylor: there targeting reece and ace they know that ace is more equiped to handle them and reece also threaten the sister with a fight
Mei: HE DID WHAT!!!
Back with reece he pushed the second kaiju off of ace's arm before send a left hook then a devastating right upper cut to the kaiju sending the kaiju onto its back in a daze
Ace: rear attack pivot to evade
Reece spun ace around and focus back on the first kaiju that was running to attack ace so he blocked the first attack then launched one of his own sending the kaiju back a few stepps but it just made the kaiju even more angry as it went to attack with another attack
Ace: brade for impact
Ace was sent flying to the side the second kaiju but reece once again managed to roll ace onto his feet again
Reece: alright ive had enough
Reece piloted ace to a stand and raised aces arms above the conpod
Reece: swords!
Ace: activating swords
Reece swung down both arms of ace and out came two swords the very same swords that the orginal gipsy danger had during her service
Reece: now! I'LL TAKE YOU ALL ON
So with a blast of ace's fog horn reece piloted ace forward into a sprint and began his offense on the first kaiju by firstly cutting off its right arm before cutting the back of the kaiju legs making it fall forward then he stabbed the right sword through the back of the kaiju head killing it then he turned to the second kaiju and taunting
Reece: COME ON!!! COME ON!!!! COME ON!!!
The second kaiju appeared to get more angry and alot more violent with its attacks that it managed to pin ace against a rock face but reece noticed atlas was coming to assist
Reece: ATLAS DO NOT COME OUR AID I REPEAT DO NOT COME TO OUR AID THE KAIJU ARE FOCUSED ON ME AND ME ALONE, TAYLOR TAKE THE LADIES AND GO, I'LL FIND YOU AGAIN
taylor halted his stepps causing mei and atlas to stop
Mei: taylor what are you doing we have to help them we have to him
Taylor: ive made one bad decision today im not making another loa i need the ghost pilot protocal ranger hansen and spare me the warnings
Loa: very well activating ghost pilot protocal
Mei could only watch as she was freed from her restraints and taylor pushed her backwards into the still weeping hayley who caught her
Mei: no no please taylor don't listen to him
Taylor sqeezed his eyes shut before he spoke
Taylor: you better find us
Reece: I'll try now go
Mei: no no loa stop this please
Loa: im sorry but i am programmed to keep my pilots safe this is the best cause of action
Mei: NO! I AM NOT LEAVING HIM BEHIND IM NOT LOOSING HIM NOT AGAIN!
Reece: mei you'll never loose me you'll always find me in the drift but you need to help taylor and hayley reach sydney you are their best shot at achieving that dream if their's
Mei: b...but what about my dream you promised me that you would never leave me reece y...you promised
Reece remained silent as he watch the form of atlas slowly get smaller as he fought to hold the kaiju back but it eventually the kaiju spun then around and ace landed on his back with the kaiju still trying to bite the conpod
Reece: mei.... If you can still hear im sorry..... for everything i just need you to know that i love you and i always will and even though we would still be way to young i dont care because you would of been the best.....wife anyone could've asked for
The hard exterior mei had fought so hard to keep up around hayley and taylor even after reece helped her regain her memories finally broke as the tears fell even hayley who was already crying shed some tears as for taylor he sqeeze his eyes shut to keep the tear at bay as he continued to pilot atlas away from the kaiju and possibly the only other functioning jeager within the black while back with reece he was being tossed around within ace's conpod as the kaiju had grabbed around the conpod with its jaw allowing it fully overpower the jeager to some degree but when both kaiju and jeager were back on their feet reece fought to keep the kaiju at bay but he could feel his legs starting to give
Reece: im sorry ace
The AI remained silent until reece heard a voice he never thought he'd heard again
???: son?
Reece: d...dad?
Sean: we both know im not surviving this so i want you to listen to me son i remember you tell me about how your girlfriend mei is here and alive but she doesn't remember you so my final wish is, i want you to help her son help her remember who you are and what you two used to be and together you can help defeat the kaiju with in the black so son take ace, help your girlfriend and please son have the family that you so rightfully deserve and i'll always be watching you and one last thing i.....love......you...........son
Ace: those were the finally words of ranger sean parker your father wouldn't want you to give up now reece you father taught you many things
Reece wiped his eyes before he turned seriously
Reece: i will never quit, i will never back down because PARKERS DO NOT QUIT
with the suddenly urge of power and strength reece piloted ace to start lifting the kaiju up off its feet before throwing it down onto a pointed rock big and strong enough to go through the kaiju's head killing it swiftly and granting reece some well need breathing room
Reece:(sighs deeply) thank you ace
Reece looked up to into the orange sky before speaking again
Reece: and im sorry dad i nearly gave up and you taught me to never give up because if i die these memories die with me so i'll fight to live and i'll fight to protect those close to me
Ace: incomming three kaiju hybrids
Reece: im a damn fool i should've known the Sister would never let me go after i threatened them
Ace: i suggest we run
Reece: go suggestion
Reece turned ace and began running the way atlas went unknowningly this whole time three sisters had been watching but now one remained as a certain grey haired man held a knife to her throat and another wearing a mask held a taser in his hands
???: call off those kaiju or ya dead
The remaining sister remained silent until she was tazed
???: that'll shut her up
???: and it stop those kaiju too
The two removed the sister mask and the grey haired man eyes widen
???: we'll take her with us catch that jeager then catch the other one
So the grey haired man load the knocked out sister into his vehicle then chased after ace
Ace: warning vehicle on approach
Reece: a vehicle? Any idea on who
Ace: scans show this
Reece: shane
Reece skidded ace to stop and place his right fist on the ground as the vehicle stopped aswell
Reece: keep the power running ace
Ace: affirmative
Reece climbed out the conpod and down to the ground
Reece: give me on good reason why i should kill you right here shane
Shane: because of this
Shane pointed to the knocked out sister in his vehicle and reece gasped
Reece: brina travis she's taylor and hayley's mother
Shane: i know i've been in the kid head
Reece: so let me guess you want to bring brina to them and in return possibly get mei back am i correct
Shane nodded
Reece: that might not work but what makes you think i'll help you
Shane: well i did just save you and your jeager so i think that makes us even
Reece: hmm
Reece quickly launched a right hook connect directly on shanes nose breaking it
Reece: ahhhh now we are even
Shane wanted to argue but remember he is the cause reason the young kid is flying solo
Reece: can you keep up
Shane: what do ya think
Reece: good
Reece climbed back up to the conpod and strapped in
Reece: alright shane do you read me
Shane: yes
Reece: good atlas is currently five miles ahead of us so get to driving
Reece piloted ace back around and began his sprint with shane following just behind in his vehicle meanwhile five miles ahead in the open space of the austrailian desert walked atlas destroyer and within her conpod mei and hayley has stopped crying but there were a couple sniffles here and there and mei had reconnect to atlas so taylor was no longer ghost drifting
Taylor: hayley
Mei: no! You dont get to say anything! To either of us
Loa: vehicle detected on approach
Taylor: is it the sister's
Loa: undetirmened, on screen
The image came up on the screen in front and it zoomed in to show shane in his vehicle
Mei: unbelivable he actually followed me here
Hayley: shane thinks he's still got a shot at taking our jeager
Mei: oh, he's not here for the jeager
Taylor and mei piloted atlas to sit on a rock formation then they were stripped of their pilot gear before going down to the ground to confront shane
Mei: you spray me with joel's gunts and then expect me to go back to bogan? I'll never go back, never?
???: pretty sure she's not saying thank you
Shane: weren't for us, he'd be dead those Sisters were sending more kaiju his way, what the hell were you thinking coming here?
Mei: what the hell were you thinking following me?
Shane: fine, don't want to tell me, don't, just thought you should see something
Shane grabbed the sister and pushed her forward onto her knee's
Shane: this is who's been trying to kill you and him
Taylor and hayley gasp as they look at their mother but mei still found something off
Taylor: mom?
Mei: him?
Shane: hmm
Mei: him, you keeping saying him, you saved him, so who excatly is him
Shane: i thought you'd figure it out by now but let me show you
Shane pointed to the way they all came from and in the distance a black jeager could be seen running towards them and after a couple moments the jeager was parked up next to atlas and reece climbed out of the conpod, down to the ground and stomped towards shane
Reece: What part of follow me did you fail to understand shane
Shane: you weren't moving fast enough so i took the lead besides it worked out see
Reece in his little moment failed to see that brina had been revealed to her children
Reece: your lucky i only broke you nose shane very lucky
Suddenly reece was knocked off his feet by head of purple hair and was nearly sqeezed to death
Reece: owww yes hi mei can you loose up... can't breath
Mei let go of reece but didnt get off him as she landed a hard punch to his right shoulder
Reece: owwwww what was that for?
Mei: FOR MAKING ME WORRY!
Reece: oh..... sorry mei
Mei then punched his left shoulder
Reece: ouch ow ow ow ok what was that one for
Mei: (queitly) i'd be the best wife anyone could've asked for
Reece: i was in the moment and thought i was going to die but yes you would
Mei: i hate you and love you at the same time
Reece: yeah yeah can i get up now
Mei: oh right yes sorry
Reece got up,brushed himself off then offered mei his hand which she took and he helped her to her feet
???: you never showed that much emotion at bogan
Reece: thats because she didnt have her memories isnt that right shane actually i should deck you again just for that
Shane: now now you would't want to annoy your furture wife now would you
Mei: ive already said im not going back to bogan shane you spraying me with joel's guts was the decided
Reece went to stomp forward but mei holding his hand kept him from advancing anymore towards shane
Reece: mark my words shane you will die either by me or because of me mark them
Everyone then went silent and looked toward the brina
Reece: what now?
Mei: no idea
Reece: well damn it
No one knew what to do next with brina since her mind wasnt her own but reece had an idea that might help her
Reece: i have an idea
