"I have seen more war than you have, Devin McCown." President Aaron Firehand said.
"Your forces are tiny compared to mine. We have god and anime on our side." Devin McCown said.
After countless debates about sponsors (Belle Delphine was thrown in), it was finally time to debate.
"We need an impartial mediator for there to be a dispute between the presidency."
Aaron could think only of one person he couldn't trust. "Sir Parcival, if you would be the mediator? If I win, I keep the presidency and McCown never disputes it again. If I lose, I give up my spot on the government to McCown. Sir Parcival, give us a topic."
"I only fight with violence," Devin says.
"You will fight me here and now with your words."
"You still wish to challenge me?"
"Sir Parcival, give us a political view to debate about. Despite us doing this election in reverse."
"Crime is the topic," Sir Parcival said.
"I'm going to let Devin take this one."
"All criminals will be reformed into warriors that will mutilate whatever and whoever gets in our way."
"Is that it?" Aaron asked. "Is that all? Is this the best you can do?
"You'll see what my warriors can do. Did you ever hear of Hiroshima? Five of my warriors destroyed that city in under a minute."
"But are you done with your piece on crime, or may I go?"
"You may go."
"I have recently made a deal with the Emperor of Chugustus! He has offered to extradite our criminals and send them to his moons that orbit Chugustus."
"So you are no longer needed."
"We will arrest them, and send them there. But I am needed, because it is me that has made these streets safer since exiling Simon Ulcrates. I won the election, mind you, not yourself."
In the end, Sir Parcival made his choice. "I have already given my vote. I believe Firehand has won."
And so ended the first debate, which wouldn't be the last.
