Rieka slides off the hellfire engine, and it once again ignores her to destroy a building instead.
"Commander Rieka," Nikaidou shouts. "Why do they not attack us directly?"
Commander? Rieka thinks, turning to Nikaidou. Darn, that was fast.
Giving up for a moment, she sheathes her weapon and takes a few steps back. Looks like they're trying to make as much destruction as possible, and their aim isn't to hurt us, but rather the city itself...
Rieka places a hand on Nikaidou's shoulder. "Get all of the civilians out of the city as fast as you can." she commands, taking advantage of her new position. "Never mind the quarantine or whatever. Just get them out of the firing range, ok?"
Sheerow holds on to one end of the rope and whispers something under her breath. Nothing happens. She breathes in again and continues chanting, but still nothing happens. "Darn it! Magic's still gone. I don't know how the two of you are gonna get up there."
As she talks, she undoes the rope around their wrists. "I really don't want to leave you guys to figure it out yourselves, but we've gotta get up there as soon as possible. I'm going up there myself to slap some sense into that crazy mage."
With that, she finishes coiling up the rope and tying it back on her hip. She jumps into the air, and flies as fast as her little bluejay wings can take her over to Aaron. "Hey, Aaron! Stop it! What do you think you're doing, what has gotten into you?"
"No, Sheerow," Aaron shouts back. "What has gotten into you? You're the one who's been trying to take down my government from the get go! The assassination attempts, corrupting my citizens, making my people hate me! No, you can't blame me. Blame yourself, Rightful Queen. I built this nation, and I will take it back."
