A/N: Sorry that this chapter is so short, but I really did spoil y'all with that extra chapter earlier this week, plus it was the last week of my summer job, so I didn't have much time for writing. Enjoy!

We pull up to the parking lot of Forks High School, and I can see people looking at us. Bella's truck backfires and she mutters under her breath. I know she despises being the center of attention. After a deep breath, we get out of the truck.
"Nice ride." a guy remarks to us.
"Thanks." Bella sighs. I roll my eyes and stick my tongue at the guy, then link my arm with Bella's as we walk. We go to the front office to get our schedules and a map of the school.
"Hello, we're Isabella Swan and Ángel Cristóbal Santos." I tell the receptionist. She smiles and tyles out names into the system.
"Could you spell that second name for me sweetheart?" she asks.
"Of course. A-n-g-e-l C-r-i-s-t-o-b-a-l S-a-n-t-o-s." I spell out for her. She smiles and hands us our schedules. We compare them as we walk. We have English, Government, and Biology together, but I have Algebra II, Gym, Art, and AP U.S. History alone.
"Ugh, we're barely gonna see each other." I whine.
"You'll be fine." she chuckles. "You're the charismatic one, I'm the one who should be worried."
I giggle as we try to find the English class.
"You're Isabella Swan and Angel Santos, the new kids." I hear a voice behind us say. An Asian guy with bangs makes his way into our line of sight.
"Hi, I'm Eric, the eyes and ears of this place. Anything you need: tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on?" I can tell that the sudden attention is making Bella uncomfortable, so I speak up.
"Well, I have those last two covered," I flash him a curt smile. "And Bella is more of the... what did you call it?"
"The suffer in scilence type." she replies.
After a pause to recollect his thoughts, Eric smiles at us.
"Good headline for your feature! I'm on the paper, and you two are news baby, front page."
"No we're not!" Bella exclaims. She stutters for a second before speaking up again. "Please don't have any sort of..." I put my hand on her back and look over at Eric, squinting my eyes at him.
"Woah, chillax. No feature." he reassures us.
"Okay." Bella says.
"Thanks." I add

After English and Government, we split up. I'm looking down at my schedule, trying to find my Algebra II class when I bump into someone.
"¡Hijole!" I exclaim. I look up to see a girl with a pixie cut. She has super pale skin and very pretty eyes, like a golden coppery color. She's slightly shorter than me.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention!"
"It's okay. You're the new kid, right?" she asks. "The one with the cool name?" she extends her hand.
"I'm Alice, Alice Cullen." I take her hand and nearly let go from the shock of cold emanating from it. I quickly shake it and then let it go.
"Ángel Cristóbal Santos" I reply.
"Nice to meet you. What class are you looking for?"
"Algebra II."
"Oh perfect! I have that class!"
I smile in relief.
"Oh thank god."
She giggles and links her arm with mine, taking me to our class.
"You're from Arizona, right?" She asks as we walk.
"It's kinda a long story. I'm from Los Angeles, but I moved to Pheonix to live with the other new kid, Bella, a few months ago. Then we moved here."
"Are you two siblings?"
"No. We're more like cousins. Our dad's are childhood friends. And my parents befriended her mom after she married her dad. My family moved from here to LA when I was little, so we pretty much grew up together."
I don't know why, but something about her welcoming attitude makes me able to open up to her.
"Here's our class!" She smiles and points to the door. She opens it for me and I step inside. Luckily there are only a few students, so I walk up to the teacher.
"Hello, I'm Ángel. I was told to have you sign this paper?" I hand her the schedule, which so far has the signature of my and Bella's English and Government teachers.
She signs the paper, then shoos me away. I quickly make my way into the seat next to Alice.

"What class do you have next?" Alice asks me as we pack up our bags after the bell rings.
"APUSH." I reply. "I usually like history, but American history is my least favorite."
She chuckles.
"Well luckily, my foster brother, Jasper, is in that class with you. He should be able to help you out."
She escorts me to the AP us history class and a tall pale boy with blonde hair and Alice's same gold eyes walks up to us.
"Hey Alice." He says with a slight southern drawl.
"Hey Jas, this is Angel." She tells him.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Jasper Hale. I take it you're in US history with me?"
"Yup. Alice was helping me find my classes."
"That's Alice." He smiles at her. She leans in a give him a hug, then does the same to me.
"Bye Angel, see you later!" She says. I wave at her as she walks away.
"Shall we?" Jasper asks and opens the door for me. I smile and walk into the class. I repeat the same routine. Give the teacher my schedule, go sit with the only person I know, do class, then get out.
