Getting out of her cage...

It's been two months after Akshay's marriage, they went on honeymoon in the Maldives, and his social accounts were filled with their lovey-dovey pictures, this was enough for Pooja to logout from every social account she had, she wasn't that active in any of these sites, still, she did it to avoid getting any glimpse of how happy her ex is.

She wasn't jealous... But she couldn't name what she was feeling, she felt betrayed by him, may be betrayed by her love for him? Anyways she tried to put all her concentration on her work and her drawings.

Pooja had a special talent for drawing, that is what attracted her to study architecture. A paper and pencil were enough for her to mute the outside world, and she did the exact thing. She muted everyone but her clients, who asked for change in the plan every single time, she didn't like changing her designs but customer satisfaction is the key to success if you are a building designer.

Sleep was a rare thing she had these days, if she did she dreams, it will be about Akshay, which was a nightmare to her now. She never wanted to see him, not in real, not in her dreams, not on her phone. She tried to erase every memory of him, but she could only delete the pictures of him she had on her phone, she couldn't do anything to the memories sculpted in her mind.

She even thought about doing drugs, but then changed it, why should she ruin her life because of a fucker!!!
She worked her ass off to be in this position in her career and she was not going to let her ex or anyone else ruin that.
This was her new principal, and she wasn't going to give up on her as others did to her.

Pooja's parents were always proud of their daughter, and when they knew about her breakup with Akshay, they were afraid for her. Because they knew how much he meant to her. They hated Akshay for doing this to her.
Their fear grew when she started avoiding everyone, she goes to the office early and returns late at night, if she is at home she just stays in her room locked up. So they called the only rescuer of their daughter.

Pooja was in her room, making corrections to her plan when she heard banging on her door.
"I am working..."

"I don't care Poona, open this freaking door, now!!"

"Drishya?"

"No, your godmother... Open this door lady..."

"Jeez... Calm down, don't break my door..." Said Pooja opening her door.

Drishya inspected Pooja from head to toe "How come your boss didn't fire you? I never thought they allowed zombies to work for them"

Pooja rolled her eyes and walked inside, "What do you want bff?"

"First of all I am not your bff, and second, give that chips to me, it's my favorite ripe banana chips," said Drishya taking the chips packet from Pooja's table.

"So you are here to eat my chips then, ok, eat as much as you want and don't disturb me, I have to complete this..." Said Pooja resuming her work, Drishya was silent for some minutes and then she asked.

"Why are you being so selfish?"

"Excuse me?" Said Pooja looking at Drishya.

"Yeah, why are you being so selfish?" She asked again. "You know, locking yourself in a room, making others nervous about you, especially your parents, and logging out from social media for your sick satisfactions... These all are the symptoms of one being selfish."

"I am not selfish!! And if I am then it is not your damn concern!!" Said Pooja angrily, hearing the truth from Drishya made Pooja feel guilty about what she is doing but she was not ready to admit it in front of anyone.

"Yeah you are right, it is not my damn concern, but when your mother called me in the middle of my sleep, crying, and says her daughter is being a selfish bitch, from that moment onwards you and your bitchy behavior have become a concern to me!! I don't know why you are making others pay for the mistakes you did!! I don't know what that fucker did to you to make you an idiotic lovesick bitch!!"
