After the conversation with Sasuke, Hinata felt relief. Somehow, she thought that was not the first time they had a conversation like that. It felt peculiar for a moment but as they kept conversing, they found comfort in each other. Thinking back, it has been a memorable journey with Sasuke and the other three. No one ever thought that her life would change so much. Hinata reminisced about the time she was still in Konoha. It's a lie to say that she doesn't miss her life in the village.
"How is everyone doing? Is everything okay?" Then Hinata let out a sigh. "But why am I still thinking about them? They definitely list me as a traitor. Siding with Sasuke, who is a rogue ninja...I really did something outrageous," uttered Hinata.
But no matter how she thinks, she would never regret what she did. Maybe fate was playing with her. Whoever thought she would side with someone that was not even close to her during the time at the village.
"Now that I think about it, I don't really have any memories of Sasuke when he was in the Konoha," said Hinata.
Then instantly she felt blank inside her head for a moment.
"Oh, what happened? What did I think about just now? Oh yeah, Sasuke. I was thinking about him." Hinata slightly touches her face and she notices that her lips keep curling up.
"Oh my. Why do I keep smiling? Is there something wrong with me?" Uttered Hinata to herself.
She felt blushed all over her face and consistently fanning herself.
"It suddenly feels hot in here," said Hinata as she opened the window.
She took a deep breath and try to clear her head. Her heart was beating abnormally.
"Did I really forget about something? These days, Sasuke keeps appearing in my mind," said Hinata as she try to calm her heart. "I must be going crazy."
She chuckled and a sudden gush of wind blew through the window. Something flew inside her room as she tucks her hair behind the ear. Hinata was shocked to see a crow lands on top of her bed.
"What?! How can a crow get in here?" She tried to get away from it, but it was futile as soon as she look at the crow's eyes.
Hinata gets out of her bedroom and walks towards the door. She slams the door open, walking until she reaches outside the house. Just in her pajamas and barefoot, she kept walking into the forest.
The full moon was the only source of light in the dark forest. Hinata walked non-stop as if she knew where the destination was. Her feet bleed as the tree branch scratched through her skin, but her face didn't show any expression. It was as if she did not even notice the wound. She continued walking for almost an hour until she stopped in front of a cave. Breathing heavily, she then closed her eyes and fainted at the place.
The sky was grumbling, signing that it was going to rain. Then came a man from inside the cave, walked toward Hinata, and carried her inside.
The man laid the unconscious Hinata on the bed and he sat on the chair near the bed.
"What took you so long to reach here?" said the man.
"Did you forget about everything?"
A crow suddenly flew inside the room and rest on the man's shoulder. It was the same crow that approached Hinata. He then walked away from Hinata and settled himself down in front of the fireplace.
Hours had passed but the rain was still ongoing. The room felt cold and dark. The sound of the heavy rain can be heard from the room, as it was the first thing that Hinata noticed when she gains consciousness. She slowly opened her eyes and tried to recall what had happened. But the sound of loud coughing immediately woke her up. Hinata quickly sat up and look around.
"This is not my room," uttered Hinata in low voice.
Then she is aware that she is not alone in that room. The man rose from his sitting and make his way towards Hinata. Startled by that action, Hinata's hand was busy trying to find something to protect herself only to find out that she was wearing her pajamas.
She swiftly activated her Byakugan when the man tried to come close to her. A familiar face appears in front of her and she was stunned. Her anxiety turns into fear.
"Long time no see, Hinata."
"I- Itachi..."
