Pivotal (Sasuke and Hinata)

Promise

Hinata was training at the yard of her house alone. It was almost 4 month since she lasts saw Sasuke. Hinata kept waiting because she believe that Sasuke will summon her.

"Hinata-neesama...," called Hanabi, Hinata's little sister.

"Yes, Hanabi," said Hinata.

"Take a break first and eat this snack. I brought it this morning," said Hanabi.

Hinata went closer to Hanabi and sat beside her.

"Hinata-neesama, can I ask about your right hand?," asked Hanabi

Hinata stopped chewing as she heard Hanabi's question. She looked at Hanabi and turned her head.

"I don't want to talk about it. So stop asking," said Hinata with cold tone. She puts back the snack and stood up.

Hanabi grabbed Hinata's hand and said "I-I'm sorry for asking. I'm worried about you and the other family members also concern about it. Ever since you got that symbol, you seem different. You don't talk much. You don't smile like you used to and you rarely leave the house. Sometimes I saw you stared over the windows as if you were waiting for someone to come."

Hinata closed her eyes. She never realized that she changes that much.

"I'm sorry, Hanabi," Hinata apologized and went into her room.

"Hinata-neesama...," called Hanabi with a sad expression.

Hinata leaned against the door of her room and sighed. She looked at the symbol on her hand and flashed Neko-chi's memories of Uchiha clan.

The scene of war...

People were injured...

Neko-chi's healing...

and...

Sasuke's mother...

"Neko-chi, I want to tell you something before my husband release you. Can you promise me something? I had a nightmare last night and since then I felt very insecure. I don't know why but I think I won't live long enough to see my Sasuke grown up. So, I want you to be there for him if he's hurt or injured. Heal him with your power and... make sure he grow to be a fine man that fill with love and good friends. Please promise me that you'll do that. I'll will put a symbol on your right front leg to remind you of this promise"

Neko-chi was able to heal Sasuke but unable to fill him with love. Neko-chi was dissapointed with itself. That was the only reason why Neko-chi inherited it power to Hinata.

Hinata's tears fall as she recalled the memories of Sasuke's mother because next day after that, the people of Konoha were shocked by the news of Uchiha Itachi had killed his own entire clan, leaving Sasuke as the only survivor. Hinata thought how scary would it be if you knew that you won't live for tomorrow. 

That promise was the will of Sasuke's mother. That's why Hinata respected it and willing to carry out the will until her lasts breath. She believed that someday Sasuke's heart will fill with love and continued his life to be a better man.
