Pivotal (Sasuke and Hinata)

Sasuke was doing something with his sword while Juugo and Suigetsu fight off each other for training. Karin just returned home from searching some food supplies at the nearest village.

"Sasuke, I need to talk to you," said Karin.

Sasuke looked at her and gesture her to speak up. Karin grabbed Sasuke's arm and dragged him away from Suigetsu and Juugo.

"Why are you dragging me all the way here? Just say what you want," said Sasuke.

"I need you to summon Hinata," said Karin.

"Why? I already summon her yesterday, and I don't think she need any training for today," said Sasuke.

"Just do it!" said Karin.

Sasuke followed what Karin wanted and Hinata appeared in front of them.

"Uhh? Sasuke, why did you summon me for? I thought we don't have any training for today," said Hinata.

Suddenly Karin pulled Hinata and dragged her into the house. She slammed the door, not wanting anyone to bother them.

"Hey, what's wrong Karin?" asked Hinata.

"Tell me the truth," said Karin.

"Truth? What 'truth' are you talking about?" asked Hinata again.

"You did something to Sasuke," said Karin.

"What?! Karin, I'm not crazy enough to do 'something' to him," explained Hinata.

Karin hold tightly to Hinata's shoulders and said "Sasuke is different now...and I think it is because of you."

Hinata stared at Karin. She didn't understand a thing about what Karin said. Karin loosen the grip and said "Sasuke's life energy is not the same as before."

"So? What does it had to do with me?" said Hinata.

"His life energy is the same as yours'...and that is impossible to happen," said Karin. "So now, tell me if you have done anything to Sasuke... Anything that might do with his life energy."

Hinata was speechless. She tried to remember but none of it fit the puzzle. Then a memory came to her.

"S-Sasuke died," that words coming from Hinata's mouth.

Karin stared at Hinata, demanding explanation.

"There was one time, I saw Sasuke near a village that got attacked. He was badly injured and next thing I know, he fall on the ground. I-I checked his pulse and heart, but none of them were beating. Then I heal him using all the energy I have until his heart beats again," said Hinata.

"What jutsu that you used?" asked Karin with a serious tone.

"I don't think I used a jutsu... It just the healing power and the common medical jutsu," said Hinata.

"How was your condition after you heal Sasuke?" asked Karin again.

"I drained myself and almost collapse. I was breathing heavily and my body felt exhausted. I can't move my body for a moment," said Hinata.

Karin was shocked by that statement. She looked at Hinata and said "I don't know how you do it, but that is a forbidden jutsu"

"Karin, I don't understand anything what you're saying and don't scare me like I have done something really wrong," said Hinata.

"It is definitely wrong, Hinata," said Karin before she explained deeply.

Orochimaru was once did an experiment whereby a person transfer his life to other while still be alive, called shared life transferring jutsu. The experiment failed many times and lots of people died because of it. But one day, a person transfer his life to a dead body and the result was successful. Both of them were alive and well until Orochimaru killed one of them. What happened after that, shocked him. The other individual who had the half life also dead.

"So, you understand, right? What you did back then was the shared life transferring jutsu. If anything happen to you, it will surely affect Sasuke to. So if you die, then Sasuke will die too.

Hinata was speechless when she heard the word 'die'. During that time she just want to save Sasuke. She didn't realize about the consequences that will happen.

"K-Karin,w-what should I d-do?" asked Hinata as she looked very scared.

As Karin wanted to answer her, Hinata suddenly 'release'. Hinata disappeared and Sasuke opened the door as he said, "From now on, I'll never summon her again. That conversation with Hinata just now end here. If what you say is true, then I can't let anything happen to her...and me."
