Pivotal (Sasuke and Hinata)

Worried

"Hinata hurry up. They are going to catch up to us. We need to find a place to hide somewhere," said Karin.

"What about Sasuke?" asked Hinata.

"Trust me Hinata," said Suigetsu and he continued "This is much better for him than us being the target. Sasuke has Juugo to help him."

"But still..." utter Hinata

"The Akatsuki won't kill Sasuke. That is one thing for sure," said Karin. "We just need to make sure they don't catch him."

Hinata didn't really understand much about the chase between Sasuke and Akatsuki. All that she can do now is follow what Karin said. 

The three of them settled at a small hideout while waiting for Sasuke and Juugo.

"They are taking a lot of time. Do you think they manage to escape?" asked Suigetsu as he felt worried.

Karin stares at Suigetsu and said, "Can you stop saying that?! They will be fine. They have too..."

Hinata felt the tension between them. She also worried and scared if anything happens to Sasuke. Suddenly she felt a pang in her heart.

"Karin..." said Hinata as she put her left hand on her chest.

"Why, Hinata? What's wrong?" asked Karin.

"Hinata, you look pale," told Suigetsu.

"I don't think I can sit around like this. I'm going to go to Sasuke," said Hinata.

Without waiting any longer, Hinata went outside the hideout. As she wiped the sweat out of her face, she bumped into someone. She looked up and saw Sasuke.

"Sasuke!" shouted Hinata as she grabbed his arm.

"Wh- what?! Why?!" uttered Sasuke shocked.

"Y-You are okay..." said Hinata.

"Of course I'm okay. What? You think I'm gonna die or something?" said Sasuke.

"I'm worried, okay?! I'm worried that something bad might happen to you. What if your heart stopped like before?!" said Hinata emotionally.

"Hey hey hey...Hinata", said Sasuke as he tried to calm Hinata and he continued "Relax. I'm perfectly fine. That thing won't happen again. I promise."

"Sasuke, Juugo," shouted Karin and Suigetsu from afar. "You guys okay?"

Juugo said they were fine and all of them need to move fast as he doesn't want to stay there longer.

Hinata pulled herself together and followed the others.

"Hinata..." called Sasuke.

Hinata looked behind and saw Sasuke. She didn't notice that Sasuke was behind her all the time throughout the journey.

Sasuke asked, "About earlier, are you really worried?"

"Why are you asking that? Of course, I'm. Do you think that was a joke? Sorry but that is not how I joked." said Hinata.

"Are you mad at me or something?" asked Sasuke.

"No," said Hinata.

"Then why are you responding like that? Did I do something wrong again?" said Sasuke.

Hinata stopped her steps and turned around to face Sasuke.

"Listen. For me who knows nothing about you and the Akatsuki, I'm scared. Unlike Karin and Suigetsu, I don't have that confidence. The confidence to say that you gonna be okay, that you are strong enough to take care of yourself. I keep thinking that if you got caught, what am I going to do? The reason why I'm here is because of you. You're the only one who I depend on right now. I lost my family, my home, my village. I have nothing except you." said Hinata as she holds her tears.

Sasuke was speechless. All this time he thought that Hinata was always smiling as if she didn't worry about anything. The truth is that the real Hinata was hiding behind those smiles. The insecure and timid Hinata.

"Hinata..."

Suddenly she turned and walked faster. She jumped onto a tree branch and continued jumping. It looked like she was running away from Sasuke. Or maybe she was running away from herself.

Sasuke made up his mind and followed Hinata trails. Now he knows what to do.
