Odd Behavior

It's been two days, two very long days since the pack went there separate ways. Jin was trying to be mature strong throughout this whole ordeal. He was the oldest and without Namjoon and Yoongi he was in charge here, but he was having a hard time coping.

From the moment they all found each other and became a pack, they were always together and they had never separated before. Even when they were being held captive in the lab, they could still see and hear other. Yesterday, they finally traveled far enough away where they could not reach the others links. This realization made Jin feel like there was a piece of him missing. He was thankful to have the other three with him. Taking care of them was such a welcome distraction that if he didn't have them he would like be in a poor state.

He was currently cooking dinner and joking with Jungkook and Taehyung. They made camp for the night not too long ago.

"Jin, do you think our doe is doing well" Jungkook asked. Jin could tell the younger male was anxious. He was truly proud of JK and Tae the pull of the bond affected them far more because they were the only ones who have made it official with their marks. Truth be told he was surprised they had been able to do this.

"Kookie, I'm sure she's fine. Yoongi and Namjoon may be a little clueless sometimes, but you know Jimin will dote on her. We don't need to worry too much."

"I want to get this over with I miss our girl, Jin." Tae whispered sadly.

"I know you do Tae, but we have to have faith it will all work out. You'll see we will be back in Y/N arms in no time." He said ruffling the younger man's hair, he turned back to the fire, pulling the food off the heat. He began preparing plates, when he got to the fourth plate he paused.

Hobi was not there, he left as soon as they made camp. He had done the same thing the night before at there previous campsite as well. Jin chewed on lip nervously and reached for his link with he shared with Hobi.

'Hobi, dinner is ready. Will you be joining us?'

Jin stood there for a moment waiting for a response. He was disappointed when he received only a one word response.

'No'

Jin hid his disappointment, plastered a smile on his face. He was beginning to worry about their resident coyote, he had been unusually quiet and gloomy lately. Though Jin didn't know what Hobi was up to, it wasn't his place to interfere. Hobi was a grown man capable of making his own decisions. He couldn't focus on his issues, take care JK and Tae and deal with his own inner turmoil. Something had to give.

Jin set the plates down in front of the younger men. They were so eager to eat on of Jungkook's ear wound up dragging in his plate, while Taehyung's striped tail was almost twisting itself in knots out of excitement.

They spent the rest of the evening telling stories and funny jokes.

"Hey boys, I have a new joke you want to hear it? OK, OK, what do a tick and the Eiffel Tower have in common." Jin said excitedly. " They are both Paris sites" He said laughing out loud. The other two were laughing as well. Jin always knew just what to say to get a laugh.

As Jin began cleaning up after dinner, Jungkook and Tae had shift and were currently roughhousing. He smiled genuinely when he thought about how nervous it made him back in the day witnessing a tiger manhandling a little bunny. He would always be so nervous that Taehyung would accidentally hurt Jk. However after all this time, he knew he had been worrying for no reason, Tae would never hurt Jungkook.

"Settle down, it's getting late we should go to sleep. We have another long day of travel ahead of us tomorrow."

"But what about Hobi?" Tae questioned.

"He said not to wait up for him. He said he's fine." Jin felt a little guilty lying to to them. Hobi hadn't said any of that, he hadn't said anything. His answer was enough for them, it didn't take too much longer and they were both snoring.

'Hobi, I don't know what's going on, but please be careful.'
