Love is in the Air

One night pack was getting ready to den down for the night, Jungkook, Taehyung, and Y/N were nowhere to be found. The others wanted to go search for them. It wasn't necessary Namjoon knew exactly where they were. Before dawn, both males had come to Namjoon in confidence telling him that they wanted to plan something special for Y/N. They both had been courting her for a while now, and tonight they wanted to make it official by asking her if she would allow them to mark her. It was basically a hybrid version of a marriage proposal. The marking itself went deeper than marriage. It was responsible for the merging of souls.

At first he wanted to say no, because he felt conflicted. On one hand, he was happy things were going well for his brothers, but on the other hand he was jealous because he still had yet to make a move himself. He knew EVERYONE was courting Y/N at this point except him. He had a headache, too much going on his head. He wasn't being honest with Y/N, his feelings for her were just as deep as the others he just hadn't told her. At first, he had been afraid of rejection. Then, he told himself he was just waiting for the right moment. Months went by with everyone confessing except him. He now felt it was simply too late. Then, there was also the matter changing seasons, no one wanted to approach the topic that is it almost bunny breeding season. He knew for certain Y/N would go into heat any day now. It's why they are staying in this cave high up the mountain. He was shaken out of his thoughts by Jimin literally shaking him.

" Namjoon, I'm going to go look for my girl."

"No Jimin, leave her alone. She is with Taehyung and Jungkook, they said they would be late but I'm not expecting them back until tomorrow."

"Tomorrow, but that's not fair" Jimin whined. "I want to spend time with Y/N too." It wasn't uncommon for them to invite each to spend time with her. Why hadn't they asked him?

"Jimin it's special circumstances. They wanted to be alone with her tonight. They have something important to ask her."

Jimin began jumping up and down with a big smile on his. He couldn't believe they were actually going to ask her. Namjoon couldn't help but smile at Jimin's reaction, he was almost as excited as Tae and Jungkook. It also took care of the need for him to announce the new matebonds, he knew Jimin couldn't keep a secret to save his life.

Jin and Yoongi were in the back corner of the cave playing a game of dominoes, and currently Jin was losing. He had bought the game the last time he went into town. He looked up to see a very smug Jimin. It was the look Jimin always got when he had juicy gossip to spill. Jimin walked over and put his elbows on their makeshift game table.

"I found out where Y/N is." Jimin said in a sing song voice. "Jungkook And TaeTae took her somewhere special to mark her." With that news blurted out, Jin gasped and Yoongi swore, while Jimin simply kept his shit-eating grin plastered on his face.

"I can't believe the babies of our pack will get to mark our mate first. Yoongi how did we let this happen? We are the eldest it should be us first!"

"Jin if you wanted to mark her first then you should have made a move way sooner than you did." Stated Hobi as he walked passed the trio.

"Tch like you can't talk Hobi, you took FOREVER" Yoongi said coming to his elders defense.

"No, the one that's taking forever is Joonie" Hobi said sadly. They all glanced at Namjoon, none of them were surprised he was rooted in the same spot. He appeared deep in thought, with frown his face. His scent lately had been filled with nothing but stress. It was ironic that here they were the safest and happiest they had all ever been, but Namjoon wasn't because he wouldn't acknowledge his feelings for Y/N. He was a problem for another day, for now they would focus on the potential new matebonds within the pack. They were all so happy for the maknaes and Y/N. They were hoping the boys put a lot of thought into their special evening.

Now Taehyung asking Jin for bottles of wine made complete sense. It was for the evening he was planning with JK. Jin chuckled to himself giddy with excitement. He knew she was going to say yes. He had taught his younger packmates everything he knew about romance. He wasn't the least bit nervous.
