Old Friend, New Foe

Namjoon and Jimin had noticed that there someone following them. At first they were afraid that it might be Hybrid Specialty Lab personnel, but then they realized it was only one person, a hybrid more specifically.

'Guys, there is someone following us. Don't look behind us or acknowledge them. Here is what we are gonna do. Do you see the large boulder up ahead? Instead of walking past it we are going to hide behind it. Let's see if we can catch this peeping Tom, eh?'

Y/N's thoughts were running a million miles a minute. Who would be following them? Is it the lab? If so, how many are hiding? No, no, no, I will not work myself up now is not the time become a useless bunny. Get it together Y/N!

Taehyung notice how anxious Y/N was, this simply would not do. They need to prove to her that the pack could protect her from anything more importantly, that HE could protect her. He admitted to himself that he had been insanely envious of JK last week when he witnessed the kiss. At first, he had given his best friend, no brother, the cold shoulder. It hadn't lasted long, he knew it wasn't Jungkook's fault that none of them had the balls to act their feelings except him. He knew the others felt the same way. He supposed they were all afraid of the same thing, rejection.

Rejection could mean a death sentence in the world of hybrids. All hybrids mated for life, and if a hybrid were to be rejected by their fated mate they would never find another. They had all seen it happen at least once, and the rejected mate literally wasted away and died of a broken heart. Though, he was still scared, seeing her developing a relationship with Jungkook had given him some amount of courage. She hadn't rejected Jungkook, and he had told Taehyung and the others he was certain she wouldn't reject them either. When they reached the boulder they all hid. Y/N gasped when she saw who was following them. She knew this hybrid well. It was her former friend, Nayla. The bitch who had betrayed her. The sole reason she spent so many months being tortured and experimented on. She abruptly stood up with an expression on her face none them had ever seen before. Rage.

'Y/N, what are you doing? Come back' said an urgent voice belonging to her pack alpha.

'No can do boss man, she has date with these hands.' Images of her banging the foxes head on the ground repeatedly invaded Namjoon's head. Y/N strolled out from behind the boulder appearing cool, calm and collected, but she anything but. She walked right up to Nayla and decked the fox hybrid right in the face. The other female had the audacity to look surprised.

"Why the fuck are you following us Nayla?"

Nayla stood up clutching her face with a wounded expression. "I just wanted to check on my dear friend"

Y/N snorted and rolled her eyes. " We are NOT friends Nayla."

"But we are Y/N, you told me you were so happy to have met a good friend."

"That was before you sold me out to the Lab. Before I endured months of agony. You either have a lot of nerve or you're delusional, either way I want nothing to do with you."

"Y/N you can't mean that! I did all this so you could be hybrid like me! So we could be a pack!"

Before Y/N could respond Taehyung and Hobi intervened placing the bunny hybrid behind them. Y/N was going to sass them by telling them she could fight her own battles but the words died in her mouth when she saw the fierce look on Hobi's face. Gone was the face of pure sunshine. Hobi was pissed and Y/N decided that while he was fine as fuck when he was angry, and she didn't want to be on the receiving end of his anger.

"That is not how pack behaves. Do you have any idea the amount suffering you caused and you dare show your face?"

" Excuse me I don't know who you are but this is private conversation between my packmate and I"  Y/N rolled her eyes Nayla was definitely delusional.

Tae lunged forward gripping the fox by the neck. " We are her pack. She carries our alpha's mark. She belongs to Bangtan, not you."

Nayla's eyes narrowed as she took in the pack then she glared at Y/N. "Is this true? Y/N is it true? Hahaha this too funny. How could you lower yourself to be the pack plaything? Don't you know anything? As soon as they find their mates you will be tossed aside but you went and bound yourself to them. Not only that but you betrayed me." Tae tossed the fox away from him. " If you want to live I recommend you leave and never come back."

She began backing away quickly. "This isn't over Y/N. You will pay for betraying me.
