chapter 25

the wedding was today. it wasn't like a real world wedding, a prison wedding. just the family and i with 2 homemade rings from whatever we could find.

"come on! we have to make you look beautiful." lorna was really excited because i was letting her do my makeup

"do i really need makeup? i never wear it." i told her

"yes! it's a special day. it's your wedding day." lorna said, applying mascara to my eyelashes "let it dry"

i nodded and i let her put on a light pink lip gloss to my lips. "oh maybe we'll get a honeymoon in a supply closet or somthing." i joked

"i got you a gift." lorna handed me a bouquet of flowers made from colored paper

"oh thank you lorna!" i hugged her "your the sweetest bridesmaids ever."

ceremony time. i was getting married. i love nicky, and now it was forever. i was nervous.

this wasn't a real wedding, just a prison wedding. it wasn't like we were legally married. i didn't get the point of this. i guess in prison it's good to have something to look forward to.

i did it for lorna. these kind of things always made her happy, prison was rough on her, considering she was always happy and bright... it didn't do her any justice when it came to other people tearing her down.

the chapel doors opened. red, nicky, piper, and alex were all standing on the stage. lorna walked me down the isle. nicky was smiling, she looked amazing... well as amazing as you can look when your in prison. it was cute.

she was sober, and she was happy. maybe this would be something that would keep the both of us sober. we had eachother and it was official.

i stood next to nicky, both of us facing eachother. red said a bunch of things that neither nicky or i understood. but soon enough we were actually married and we kissed. red started crying... she was happy seeing how happy nicky, her daughter was.

i was happy to. i was really happy.
