Lander oneshots (Luke x Zander) (The music freaks)

No one's POV

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH"

Luke shot up in bed and looked over at Zander, who was sitting up awake. His knees were pulled up to his chest with his arms wrapped around them, and he was shaking like mad. There were tears running down his face as he continued to cry

Quickly Luke got close and put his arms around Zander. "Zander, what's wrong...?!"

Zander tried to speak but every time he opened his mouth, he just cried more. Luke adjusted the shorter boy so he was in his lap, and patted his head. Zander's crying eventually slowed, the sound still being muffled as he cried into Luke's shirt

Luke kept sweet talking to Zander, rubbing his back and keeping his other arm around Zander's waist

"Zander, it's okay...you're okay...I promise...please try to calm down...." Luke said. He kissed Zander's head, making Zander shake less

After about fifteen minutes, Zander stopped crying. He lifted his head and looked at Luke. His eyes were red from crying and his nose was running a little

"You okay now..?" Luke asked. Zander gave a small shrug. "Do you wanna talk about your nightmare..?"

"I-I-It w-wasn't a-a n-nightmare..." Zander said quietly. "Yes it was.." Luke said. "Baby, you don't have to lie to me...I won't judge you...."

Zander, crying less but still shaking like a leaf, tightened his grip on Luke. "...I-I don't wanna t-talk a-about it..." he said. Luke nodded. "Fine with me.." he said. He kissed Zander again, then both of them laid down

"You okay to go back to sleep...?" Luke asked, and Zander immediately shook his head no. "D-Don't m-make me..." he said. Luke pulled Zander close and patted his head

"Sweetheart, I love you, but please...try to sleep..."

A light pink blush appeared across Zander's face. He hugged Luke, now shaking less. "...hey Luke..?" he said

"Yeah..?" Luke responded

Zander hesitated before asking his question

"Can you keep hold of me while I sleep...?"

Luke smiled, and nodded. "Of course, firefly.."

Zander's face went from pink to red at the new nickname Luke had picked for him. He yawned, then nuzzled his head against Luke. "I love you..." he said softly

"I love you too, honey..." Luke said
