CHAPTER TWELVE.

Billy stepped out of his blue Camaro and leaned on it.

"Stay inside." Steve advised everyone and then moved towards the door and walked outside.

"Am I dreaming, or is that you, Harrington?" Billy asked.

"Yeah, it's me. Don't cream your pants." Steve huffed.

"What are you doing here, amigo?" Billy threw his cigarette on the ground and walked closer to Steve.

"I could ask you the same thing, amigo." Steve responded.

"Looking for my stepsister. A little birdie told me she was here." Billy said.

"Huh, that's weird. I don't know her." Steve shook his head.

"Small, redhead, bit of a bitch." Billy informed.

"Nope. Sorry, doesn't ring a bell." Steve answered.

"You know, I don't know, this..this whole situation, Harrington, it's giving be the heebie-jeebies." Billy exhaled.

"Yeah? Why's that?" Steve questioned.

"My thirteen year old sister goes missing all day, and then I find her with you, in a stranger's house, and you lie to me about it." Billy sneered.

"Man, were you dropped too much as a child, or what?" Steve continued, "I don't know what you don't understand about what I just said. She's not here."

"Then who is that?" Billy pointed to the window.

"Shit! Get down." Lexa ordered, the kids quickly following, but it was too late.

Billy barged through the door as Lexa stood in front of the kids and pushed them behind her.

"Well, well, well, they have you wrapped into this too, huh, pretty thing?" Billy smirked at Lexa, and then turned his head towards Max.

"You disobeyed me." Billy glared, "And you know what happens when you disobey me. I break things."

Billy immediately rushed towards Lucas, grabbing him.

"You are so dead, Sinclair. You're dead." Billy grunted.

"No. You are." Steve shouted and then punched Billy, knocking him towards the dishwasher.

"Looks like you've got some fire in you after all, huh?" Billy chuckled, "I've been waiting to meet this, King Steve, everyone has been telling me so much about."

"Get out." Steve demanded. Billy wickedly smiled back, rearing his arm back for a punch. Steve dodged it and punched Billy instead.

"Yes! Kick his ass, Steve! Murder the son of a bitch!" Dustin cheered. Steve punched Billy again and the two were now in the kitchen. Billy grabbed a plate and smashed it on the top of Steve's head.

"Steve!" Lexa screamed. Lexa looked around, trying to see what she could do to help and then she spotted Steve's bat and picked it up.

"No one tells me what to do!" Billy shouted. Lexa then hit him in the back with the bat as hard as she could. Billy stumbled a bit and before he could really react, Max injected a syringe into Billy's neck, him immediately falling to the ground.

"Okay. That worked. Good job, kid." Lexa patted Max's shoulder approvingly.

"Can I borrow that?" Max gestured towards the bat.

"Yeah, take it." Lexa gave it to her.

"From now on, you leave me and my friends alone. Do you understand?" Max demanded. Billy just laughed in response.

"Say it! Say you understand!" Max yelled.

"I understand." Billy repeated, before passing out.

Lexa ran over to Steve's body, who was also passed out. Lexa grabbed Steve's head lightly, pushing it up towards her, inspecting it closely.

"We need band-aids. A lot of them." Lexa ordered.

Mike gave her a box and she put some of them on Steve's face. Max grabbed Billy's keys from his pocket.

"Let's go." Max stood up.

"No chance in hell you're driving kid, sorry." Lexa snatched the keys from her before she, Lucas and Max picked up Steve and dropped him in the backseat of the car.
