Chapter 9: Indirect Date?

                                                                       (After school)
Shadow's POV: I saw Sonic walking, he was heading home.

I caught up to him. "Hey Sonic." I said, waving behind his back.

Sonic turned around. "Shadz!"

I love it when he calls me by a nickname. "Are you free..tonight?" I looked down nervously. I'm usually never nervous about anything. I want to ask him out for tonight, whether he takes it as a date or not.

"Im free! Why did you ask?" Sonic looked so cheerful, it made me happy.

"Well..I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me tonight." I looked back up at Sonic. "To the movies."

"Really?? You'd take me?!" Sonic said in a playful excited tone.

I nodded as I blushed a little. He was too cute.

"You bet then! I just need to ask my parents for permission."

"Alright, text me when you get your answer. We'll go at six if you're allowed to."

"I should be allowed!! I'm almost a senior!" Sonic grumped cutely.

I turned around, heading home. "Cya then Sonic~" I was surprised by the way I just said that, turning back over again, Sonic had left to his home.

Sonic's POV: My smile was so wide. My face was becoming red. I ran to home as fast as I could before Shadow could see me blushing. Shadow asked me out!! I did a happy dance inside me. Now I just need to ask my parents.

"Mom! Dad!" I walked into the house. Oh yeah..they're at work. I called them, one...two...three...four...five times! Still no answer. I'll just go out with Shadow tonight, it's not like anything bad will happen. I pictured a scene of Shadow saving and protecting me from Dr. Fatass. Heh, it would be nice if I could be saved instead of saving others for once.

I went on my phone and texted Shadow. 'My parents aren't home LOLZ! I'll go with u, my parents don't seem to care since they haven't answered my calls.'

(Shadz❤️ is typing..) 'Great! I'll see you at 6pm, or shall I take u? ;)'

Am I really blushing though text?! 'No!! It's ok, I'll see u there!'

It is 3pm right now, I wanna see Shadow so so bad!! I grew really impatient, scrolling through TikTok trying to let the time pass. Finally..FINALLY. It was time. I dashed to the Movie theater, arriving three minutes early.

Shadow was already there waiting for me. "You're early."

"I could never be late!!" I laughed.

"Come on." Shadow held my hand and led me in. "I already got tickets for the Movie."

"What's the genre?" I asked.

"Horror. It's about these people who died in a house, they're ghosts now, haunting the new families that move in.

"WHAT!? AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY FAMILIES? DID EACH FAMILY DIE??" I may sound like a brave hero, and I agree with that duh! But when it comes to horror movies, I'm done. 

"We'll find out if they died or not," Shadow took me down to a hallway. "We're almost there."

"WAIT STOP!!" I pulled back.

"What's wrong? You scared?" Shadow slyly said.

I looked at him sheepishly. "Hmph, no way man! Of course not, let's go!" I heard a scream coming from one of the theaters as Shadow and I walked by. I jumped and grabbed onto his arm."

Shadow shook my arm off. "You're scared."

"I'm not!!"

"Are."

"Oh, Shadow will you shut the hell up?" I think I heard Shadow chuckle. Something really rare to hear from him.

Shadow and I sat down in our seats. The intro to the movie was already getting scary. I wanted to cuddle under my sheets but I wasn't home. I was at a theater, with Shadow.

"Shadz," I whispered. "How long is this movie?"

"Two hours." Replied Shadow.

I sighed, I thought this would be a romantic thing, I got it all wrong. Of course Shadow would wanna watch this type of stuff. I really thought he'd watch a romance movie with me instead. A scary scene came up, the ghosts contorted face started transforming from a young healthy looking girl into an old and elderly woman. she smiled so wide, it went ear to ear. I covered my eyes, peaking through my fingers. The old ghost started killing the family inside the house very brutally. That part of the movie was so scary, I held onto Shadow and didn't let go. He let me hide in his chest fur. I looked up at Shadow, he seemed quite amused that the ghost had killed a family. I just hid back into his fur.

After the movie Shadow chaos controlled us back to his place. "Sonic, you wanna stay a little longer?

I shrugged. "Sure hott- I mean i'd love to."

Shadow and I spent the rest of the night star gazing. We flirted a little, and now I have high hopes of actually being with Shadow. I was getting too sleepy, we were inside at that time. "Shadow I think I should go home, it's late and my parents will be worried."

Shadow stopped me. "You're not going, It's so dark outside, you won't be able to see. I don't want you trapped in danger all on your own. Just tell your parents you're staying over at a friends place for the night."

I sighed. "It's not that easy Shadow..I've said that excuse too many times, AND It's a school night. They're gonna figure out soon."

"I guess that makes sense." Shadow agreed with me! "Just text them and tell them you're staying at a friends anyway."

I listened to Shadow. He teleported us to his bedroom. "You want the right side or left?" Shadow was pointing at his bed, Am I going to sleep with him tonight? I blushed so much.

"I'll take the right side." I said. The right side had a wall, I chose it so I wouldn't roll off the bed. Shadow got into bed already and gestured me to join him. I nervously got in bed with him and layed down. I was too sleepy to process anything. I faced the wall as Shadow spooned me.
