Sonic is very curious about this non-open mysterious ebony hedgehog. Wanting all the aggravation between him and Shadow to stop, he tries to find a way for them to become friends. Will Sonic reach his goal and possibly even more?

(The next day) Sonic's POV: I woke up on my couch. I must've fallen asleep when I was watching the movie. I glanced over at Shadow, loudly snoring. Shadz snoring is so loud!! I must've woken up from that. It was early, only 6:34AM. I yawned as I went down to make breakfast. I could walk perfectly fine. School doesn't start till eight! What should I do now? I made pancakes and ate some of it, not all. I wanted to save some for my boyfriend. I went back upstairs and snuck into my parents room, they were still asleep. I sighed as I went back to my room. Shadow wasn't snoring anymore. I sat down on the couch and ran my fingers through his quills. I could hear Shadow purring, and not gonna lie, I found it cute.
I watched some youtube videos so time could pass. Shadow suddenly jumped and woke up. "Shadow!! You scared mee!"
"Ah, sorry. I just had a nightmare." He said.
I kissed my boyfriend and gave him breakfast. We decided to go to the high school early today. Since no one was there, Shadow kissed me while we were sitting at our fountain spot. I was a little hesitant because if someone had saw us, we'd probably be judged. Not that Shadow would care, but I care. I flinched when I heard a sound in the bushes.
"Shadow...did you hear that?" I nervously asked.
"Yeah, someone must be here."
"Shadow!! I cant let the whole school know about..us."
"Why's that?"
"Because..I saw a lot of gays getting injured, judged, harmed, even killed or bullied to suicide from the homophobes in the school."
"HAHA!!" Shadow was laughing. It's cute, but at a time like this?? "Sonic, being gay doesn't change the fact that you're the hero. There will be tons of people on your side. And aren't we the most powerful hedgehogs here in this city? You have nothing to worry about babe. I'll protect you."
I could trust that. Shadow is pretty strong after all. Shadow and I were talking, until I saw a green figure dash by. "SHADOW!! DID YOU SEE THAT??" I was frightened.
"Oh Sonic, you're seeing things." He was debating me!
"I'm not!! I'm telling the truth!" I yelled.
"He or she is probably scared, don't worry baby." Shadow assured.
"Okay..." I said.
Class had started and we got to pick new seats. Of course, Shadow and I chose to sit next to each other. I couldn't help but flirt with him throughout the whole class. Before I knew it, first period had already ended. I got through my second class, my boyfriend and I, locked eyes the whole time in third period. When It was time for lunch, I decided that i'd finally tell my friends about Shadow. Okay Sonic, you got this! We all sat down at the lunch table. After everyone got their food, I gathered them all around. Rouge was sitting with Vector, the bat looked upset and uncomfortable. I was mad at her though, she hurt Knuckles.
Cream clapped her hands in excitement. "Soo Sonic! What is it that you've been wanting to tell us?!"
I thought I was prepared, and ready to expose my relationship with Shadow. But my face got really red. Oh shit.
Silver whined, "Cmon Sonic! Tell us!"
Without knowing what to say, I randomly blurted out, "Uh uh Shadow and I are friends!!"
Shadow nudged me with his elbow. "Just friends??"
"Umm yeah!!" I mouthed Shadow a "Sorry" and he nodded, understanding me.
Knuckle's sounded confused. "Sonic, we know you're friends with Shadow. I know it's hard to believe that you're friends with your rival but you've made it pretty obvious."
"Oh!! Yeah..we'll um..now you guys know..heheh!" I felt so awkward.
Our lunch break ended and we had to go back to our classes. Ughh! I hate myself. I need to tell my friends about me and Shadow! I pushed my thoughts aside as I got ready for my next class. Shadow walked me to our lockers. "When are you going to tell them Sonic?"
"After school. I promise Shadow!! I just, wasn't prepared earlier."
"I trust that sweetheart."
I blushed. Holy chaos, the nickname Shadow just gave me!! I hid my face in my books, and I could tell Shadow was smiling.
"Finally!! School is over!!" I said in relief.
Shadow looked at me.
"Yeah yeah I know!! I'll call my friends right now!" I called my close friends, and ones I could trust. Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, and Silver.
We all met up at the fountain spot, and I finally told them. "Okay so uh, the thing I told you at lunch wasn't actually the thing I wanted to tell you." I took a deep, confident, breath. "What I really want to tell you guys is that im gay, and my boyfriend is Shadow!" I looked at everyone. Their reactions were all different. Tails jaws were dropped, Knuckles looked confused, Amy looked defeated, Cream squealed, and Silver congratulated me.
"Congrats Sonic! I could tell you weren't straight to be honest." Silver said that.
Tails chimed in. "Yeah, now I know why you didn't like Amy! Oops..!"
Amy ran away.
Knuckles smiled at me. "Don't worry Sonic, I support."
Cream just kept squealing in excitement. "Ahh omigod! I have a gay best friend!!"
Knuckle's jokingly said, "Sonic, I want you to prove that you're gay! Kiss Shadow!!"
I blushed. "What! Right here?! No way!"
"Oh cmon Sonic! Don't be so lame." Knuckles playfully said.
"Knux, I-" Before I could speak, Shadow kissed me on the lips, and I kissed back. We ended up making out. Everyone cheered, which was weird for me but I didn't care. Shadow and I broke off the kiss. Amy didn't come back, but as a group, we all went to grab milkshakes. I finally did it! I told them!! And they're all supportive! I didn't know about Amy. ButI was filled with joy, I really have the best friends ever. And the best boyfriend too!
