Anyways I love ya'll and enjoy!

the door slowly closed behind me as I started walking over to grab a soda, and whatever snacks appealed to me.
I grabbed a bottle of soda from the freezer, and saw some cheap ice cream that I decided to get.
I walked over to the chips and grabbed two bags of ruffles, then headed to the counter.
I glanced up and saw that no one was there, so I set my things down and decided to wait.
I grabbed a magazine from the counter and started flipping through it. Suddenly I heard footsteps entering from the back of the store.
My eyes locked with someone in a greasy worn out uniform. He shed a smile filled with charm. "So what can I help you with?"
I glanced back at the page and then shut it placing it on the counter. He noticed the bruising on my face, and stared at me awkwardly.
"I just wanted to get a couple things", I slid them closer to him. He started to ring them up.
"I'm sorry, but you look familiar. Have we met before?" I watched his hands as he bagged my items.
he double checked the total. "I get that a lot". he grinned again. "The total is $12.02". I pulled out my cash and grabbed a 20 and handed it to him. He started counting the change.
I started fidgeting with my thumb as I waited. The same back door opened again, it was another young guy with short black hair.
"hey Soda.." he realized I was there and hesitated. "when you're done I need your help.." He turned back around and the guy at the register moved his head in his direction.
"yeah, I'll be out there shortly". He handed me my change and my bag. "So you're Sodapop? that's why you looked familiar".
I grabbed my things and walked out before he could say anything. I looked back and saw him staring over.
The door shut behind me, as I turned to leave I saw the dark haired guy standing at a car. Sodapop was exiting the back. He turned his head to see me walking away.
After a few more steps I turned a corner leaving his sight of view
Now that I pieced together who he was, I felt like every other girl in this town. Being attracted to the stereotypical pretty boy.
He felt different than any other guy I'd seen though. He had a certain warmth.
I cracked open the soda I was holding and took a couple sips as I entered the west side of town. It wasn't long before I got to my driveway.
I grabbed my keys and entered inside. The house was quiet. I went to the kitchen to put my ice cream in the freezer, before heading to my room.
I had quickly fallen asleep. By the time I woke up the sun had already started setting. My stomach grumbled. I looked over at my clock and saw that it was nearing 6:30.
I went downstairs and heard the silence of the house. My parents were out doing who knows what, and my sister was probably with her boyfriend.
I checked the fridge for leftovers but it was almost empty. "man this sucks". I let out a sigh before looking for my coat. I had left it leaning on the couch.
I slipped it on and went to grab my shoes. As I zipped my boots I heard the phone ring. I quickly ran over to answer it. "hello this is Josie," I heard a breath on the other end. "oh Josie.. wasn't- well I just wanted to let you know your father and I are going out of town".
I started playing with the phone cord. "When will you be back?" my mother spoke again "I'm not sure. Could be a week, maybe two. Depends on when we want to come back". The line cut off and I put the phone back on the receiver.
I checked the time again as my stomach continued to rumble and saw it was close to 7. I unlocked the front door before stepping outside and locking it with my keys.
A rush of wind blew my hair into my face and I pushed it to the side as I walked down the street. I remembered the pack of cancer sticks I had. I pulled the pack out opening it to grab a cigarette.
I grabbed my lighter from my other pocket and began flicking it as it struggled to catch a flame. "ugh.. stupid lighter". I let out a frustrated sigh before I bumped into someone.
"need a light?" he grabbed a lighter from his pocket and gestured it towards me. I locked eyes with his. "yeah sure that would-- oh its you again". I let out a grin, as he brought the lighter towards the cigarette that was sitting on my lips.
"I was heading home from work, didn't mean to bump into you." He put the lighter back into his pocket
I took a puff and released the smoke. "Oh that makes sense, are you doing anything tonight? I could use some company". he looked around before giving an answer "My brother shouldn't mind too much".
"You got a food place you recommend? I'm opened to anything". I had hope he'd list a place I hadn't been to before. "We could go to Jay's it's not too far". He started walking and I followed.
