Chapter 11

I fell asleep faster than I knew was possible. I guess all that romance really exhausts you. Not that I mind it, obviously. My dreams were beautiful that night. They were filled with the most romantic settings you can imagine. It started with me in a beautiful, floor-length gown. It was light and flowy and the wind carried the train with it. I was dancing, frolicking, running, skipping through this gorgeous meadow. My dreams had that blurred, sort of glowing, quality to them and made the sunset almost blend with the tops of the trees.

Then, it took a turn for the worst. The trees became gnarled and ugly. They were closing in on me. I heard men shouting and the horses carrying them were not far behind me. I ran as fast as I could, but was stopped when one of the tree branches snagged my sleeve. I tried to wriggle free, but to no avail. As the men approached, at the last second I was swept up by a man on a white horse. A knight in shining armor, literally. He took me away and we rode until we came upon his secluded castle.

He got off of the horse and then helped me down, as well. I asked him who he was, and if he could take of his helmet. He slowly took it off to reveal those grey-blue eyes I now know so well. Garrett looked quite dashing as a knight. As my dream self came to this realization, I ran to him. He scooped me up in his arms and kissed me long and sweet. When it was over, however, his eyes were different. Not the shape, just the color. They were slightly...green.

Before I could put my finger on it, I was jolted awake by the sound of Jordi falling off her bed. It's amazing how it woke me, but not her. She laid there tangled in her sheets without a care. I stifled a laugh when I noticed how much drool was on her pillow. I then got up, went into the hall and retrieved a new pillow case. I switched them out and put the new one under her head, while she was still on the floor. I then changed, got back into bed and slept soundly for the rest of the night.

The next couple days were some of the best days of my life to date! As we got to know each other better, I filled him in on all of the things he has "done" for me. The flower ordeal (he got a real kick out of that one), and how he made it up to me, and the daisy for Lucy. I told him about the note he supposedly wrote, even though I felt bad, knowing it was from Jace. Maybe I was too harsh on the poor guy...He is my best friend, besides GRL. We switched the facebook accounts to his real one and deactivated the old one. I'd say it was rather productive.

My mom called and notified us that the strike was over and that we needed to come home. We packed up our things and said our goodbyes. Garrett caught me before we got in the car. He took my hand and brought me close to him. We hugged for what seemed like an eternity that I didn't want to end. We leaned back and he brushed some hair from my face. I stood up on my tip-toes to kiss him and he shook his head slightly.

"Sorry, darlin' " he said with a mischievious grin, "You gotta have something to look forward to." He kissed my forehead and opened my car door. I frowned and pouted as he shut it again. He waved and started to turn away.

"Wait!" I called, " Come closer. I have to tell you something." I said with a wink, letting on that it was about our secret. He leaned in close to my window and put his ear by my lips. I then, quickly turned his head and pecked his lips.

"Wow. A woman who gets what she wants... You sneak." he smirked at me. "You're not getting away that easily." Too bad for him, my window was already almost rolled up and my doors were locked.

"Dang it!" he yelled. "I'll get you back for this!" he then stalked away back into his house.

It was then, that I noticed that Jordi was making gagging sounds and choking from the passenger's seat. I think she might have been doing it the whole time...stinker.

"Whatever, it's done. Get over it." I said, smiling.

"Oh please, you get over yourself! It's like you two are already married!" Jordi followed up with an eye roll I could almost hear.

"Maybe someday..." I halfway whispered. I smiled the entire way home.

***A/N: Okay, I know it's short, but as my momma always says, "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." So please, no complaining. I have had a busy weekend and you got a lovely upload yesterday. (If I do say so, myself.) I didn't even want to write ANYTHING today, but I promised you I would. A lot of you have been asking me why I didn't put up a celebrity for Avery. Well that is because it is definitely hard to find a celebrity that looks like yourself. If you want to know what Avery looks like, look at my little profile pictue. That is me. How I described Avery in the story, that is me. If any of you, for some crazy reason, are still confused about Jace and Avery's relationship, that's just it, they are not related. AT ALL! That would be majorly disgusting. Brother from another mother is an expression used when describing a friend you are close with. Another is sister from another mister. Same concept. Hope that clears up the last few stragglers. Wow, long note. Sorry. I love you all, and have a good week. Maybe, I'll upload on Friday. I'll at least try to get something written. Writing takes time. Love you all, see ya later.
