Chapter 25

"You have to tell us, how did this all happen, OMG?" Nandani gushed at Navya about her appearance.

"Cabir happened I guess, haha" Navya said blushing.

"Aww the blush is still there; girl you guys are married now!" Diana said and laughed.

"Yes, but its just everyday he makes me realize just how much he loves me and I end up falling in love with him all over again" Navya said smiling.

The girls just laughed at Navya's comment and cooed at her and Cabir's relationship. As they were busy cooing, Druv stopped by their room. He entered the room, looking around to see them divided. "At least the girls aren't at each other's throats." He commented as he knocked on the door.

Everyone stopped talking at looked at him. Nandani, Diana gave him a small smile while Navya waved her hand greeting him, which he returned.

"I'm sorry for disturbing, I just stopped by to take Alya with me for a walk, if that's okay with you girls." He asked being polite. Navya gestured to him that he can and its not a problem.

Alya looked at Mukti, she was a bit worried to leave Mukti all by herself in the room but at the same time she was eager to get out of the room. "I'm okay, you go ahead" Mukti assured her.

Ten minutes later, after Alya and Druv left for their walk, Ishaani had come over and asked Nayva to join her for the management meeting that is being held. That left with just Nandani, Diana and Mukti in the room. The room suddenly felt way too quiet and extremely suffocating for Mukti as none of the others spoke to her.

So, she decided to go to the boy's room, to see if she could spend some time with either Cabir or Manik. Boy! She was in for a surprise.

Boys' room

Armaan and Cabir were talking about how they could tune in with their drums, while Arya was taking a quick nap in Abhi's bed. Manik, on the other hand was going through a business magazine. Abhi was standing outside their room for some fresh air, with their room door slightly ajar. It was safe to say the room was in a comfortable silence after the morning fiasco that happened.

Mukti who was now making her way towards their room, unaware of the situation, zoomed past Abhi who was standing just right outside the door. She bumped into him, causing her to lose her balance. She was just about to fall when Abhi quickly caught her by the waist at the right time and helped her to regain her balance.

They stood in an awkward silence for a whole minute. When Abhi decided to break the silence. "Hi, Mukti" he said by giving her a small awkward smile. He didn't have any problem with Mukti as such but just his trauma from the past relationship, that haunts him every now and then, which made him run away from her, hiding his feelings and rejecting her love by giving an Fab5 are our rivals excuse.

Now he just wanted to keep the whole thing as calm as possible and just get done with this project. Which is the reason he initiated this casual conversation with her in the hopes to make things less awkward.

Mukti's face showed a visible shock in response to Abhi's greeting. She soon composed herself and gave him a small sad smile, while she returned his greeting. "Hi, Abhi"

Now there is more awkwardness in the air. "How, H-how have you been?" Abhi asked her in the only hope to ease the intense air around them.

"Been good" She replied, while nodding her head.

"Uh.. I read your articles and interviews." He said looking away from her.

Shocked, she asked him, "You did?"

"Ya. I did. I saw you opened your own center as well."

"Oh. Umm what is your, you know opinion on it? I mean as a business owner or as our ex-teacher."

"They are good. Very well structured and nicely maintained"

"Thank you"

Then there was again silence. No one knowing what to say. So Mukti decided to change the topic to work related. "So, now that you are back, are you still going to teach in the college?"

"Oh, uh no. Actually, I'm not a teacher. I and Arya had previously joined the college purely because of ba-I mean Nandani. And now that she has been graduated, we handed it over to our parents to take care of the college."

"Oh"

"Yeah, it all just happened."

"I understand"

"I'm sorry"

"Huh?"

"For everything"

"But I don't think you are sorry. This looks like you don't mean it."

"I agree. I don't mean the sorry. It's just I want this concert to go smooth"
