Chapter 35

Oberio Mansion

Viren and Jeevika Oberio were sitting and chilling on their newly bought sofa in the lawn when they heard the commotion happening outside their house. The security came running inside to them and said, "Sir, ma'am, we have Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra demanding to see you immediately."

"Let them in" Vivek said.

"I wonder what do they want this time" Jeevika said, getting up from her seat and walking towards their living room to welcome the angry guests with her husband.

Just as the Oberio couple entered their hallway, Malhotras stormed in demanding, "Where is Murthys daughter you fucking sicko?" Raj had grabbed Vivek by his collar demanding for the answers.

"Let me go first" Vivek said in a calm voice

"Let my husband go or I'm calling the cops" Jeevika demanded.

Reluctant, Raj let go of Vivek. "Tell me, what have you done with her?"

"I haven't done anything to her Raj." Vivek said calmly while he took his wife hand and walked towards the sitting area and sat down.

Just as Malhotra's followed them in, they saw a huge picture hung on the wall of baby Nandani, baby Abhi, baby Arya, baby Armaan and baby Diana.

"Raj, look!" Nyonika pointed out the picture "That's Nandani and that boy that we would occasionally see in their residence."

"Now that you know, we know about Nandani, why don't we cut the chase and sit down and talk?" Vivek said calmly. Which made Raj and Nyonika sit down and listen to what they wanted to say.

"What does this picture mean?" Raj demanded.

"First why don't you tell how did you find out about us?" Vivek prompted.

"We went to the Murthy residence and met this old lady called Samantha. She said she saw your vehicle back then at their residence after their death. She told us how your car came in and broke into the house and took away some stuff." Raj said

"Ah Samantha! She's a very sweet lady. Helped a lot many kids across the world. Never knew the one we were supporting is the same lady that saw us back then." Jeevika said, looking at Vivek.

"Seems like we weren't really careful" Vivek said in a thoughtful manner.

"Why is that important?" Nyonika asked confused.

"It is important because, if you guys traced us then the murderer has also traced us." Vivek commented.

"Murderer?" Raj asked shocked.

"Yes, did you really think that it was an accident?" Vivek asked once again looking intently at Raj.

"No, I didn't think, but the case also went under the rug very fast and was closed being said as an accident. We had our suspension but we just couldn't find any evidence either." Raj said.

"We have been after that murderer for a long time. Your empire was also our suspect." Vivek informed Raj.

"Are we still?" Nyonika asked

"No, we ruled that out after the attempted murder at Arya. Which turned out to be Abhi's accident. Thankfully no one died." Jeevika informed.

"The murderer that was hidden for so long after the two planned accidents, came out to attack us, the same way, the same pattern, the same truck" Vivek said.

"Two planned accidents?" Malhotras asked

"Do you remember Thakkar Empire?" Jeevika asked.

"The first Empire that created a name in business?" Nyonika asked

"Yes, I remember. The very first Empire to be created and established. Ruled the business world for so many years, but then suddenly all the family members died in an car accident while visiting their farm house." Raj said.

"The Empire isn't dead" Vivek commented.

"You mean there is a descendent of Thakkar Empire?" Raj asked shocked.

"Yes, and that is Abhimanyu." Vivek replied back.

"You mean The Abhimanyu Oberio? Your second son?" Raj asked in absolute shock.

"Yes, Abhimanyu Oberio is Abhimanyu Thakkar" Vivek confirmed making the Malhotra couple gasp in shock.

"W-wait, d-does that mean Nandani is Nandani M-murthy?" Raj asked once again in shock.

"Yes, you guessed it right"

"So all this while, our Nandani was right here? Safe and secure?" Raj asked with light tears in his eyes and relief flooding through his veins.

"Yes, we hid both the kids well so that they don't get killed by that murderer. But now that the kids are back in India, we fear, the murderer will soon take an action." Vivek said with a heavy sign.

"Does that mean Nandani and Abhi lives are in danger?" Raj gasped

"No, not theirs. Ours." Vivek said shaking his head.

"What do you mean by ours?" Nyonika asked already getting a bad feeling.

"Your Empire and ours are the only two leading Empires currently. If my analysis is right, then the murderer is targeting the top Empires only. The murderer already attempted once on our Empire. This time they might attack yours. I suggest we be alert." Vivek said with a very serious tone.

"We need to inform the kids!" Nyonika said clutching Raj's hand absolutely scared.

"Yes, I'll immediately call Manik" Raj said and took out his mobile to already see 20 missed calls from Fab5 members. "Fab5 called us 20times. I didn't know because I had left the phone on silent, check yours Nyo"

"Mine is switched off Raj, the battery is dead"

"We need to leave immediately." Vivek said, rushing out with his wife

Malhotras too rushed behind them.
