Chapter 27

Manik was fuming.

As Abhi went inside the room, he was confronted by Manik.

"How dare you speak like that to Mukti? What do you think of yourself?"

"Look, I tried talking to her calmly but she started lashing out at me."

"Do you even know what that girl has been through? And because of you, what has she gone through?"

"You think she's the only one who's hurt and in pain in this whole world? News flash Mr. Malhotra, everyone has their own shit that they have to deal with!" Abhi yelled at Manik in anger.

The commotion and woken up Arya from his deep slumber. He looked around extremely confused. Just as he was about to ask about what was happening- "You should have died in that bloody car accident! Things would have been far better off!" Manik yelled back at Abhi, which made Abhi stunned and Cabir and Armaan gasped in shock.

Arya saw red, as soon as he heard Manik say that to his dear brother. He grabbed the nearby metal water bottle and flung it at Manik's face with a force enough to give Manik a good black bruise on his jaw. Manik howled in pain from the impact but soon recovered and threw across a steel plate that was lying on the ground.

Armaan quickly pulled Abhi to his side, so that the plate doesn't hit him. Unfortunately, the plate flew straight towards Arya's face. Fortunately, Arya defended his face by blocking the blow with his left arm, leaving the plate to land a nasty cut from below his elbow. Manik who is now on his feet went straight to attack Arya with a hard punch.

Arya stepped back, balancing his weight on his left foot, and threw his right fist out in a curved punch at Manik's temple. Turning ninety degrees to the side, Arya brought his right forearm up to counter the blow, forming a fist with his left, Manik throws it straight at Arya's outstretched jaw.

"Fuck! This shit hurts!" Arya screamed while he held his jaw in pain, lying on the ground.

"You deserve it" Manik yelled back at him and came forward to attack him once more, but just he was about to land a blow on Arya's face, Arya kicked him on his ankle hard enough to lose his balance and fall over. Manik stretched out his right hand to protect himself from the fall, but it resulted in a loud crack noise. He flipped over onto his back in pain while clutching his right wrist.

Arya quickly climbed on top of him and started landing quick and strong punches at his face. Manik struggled like a landed fish as Arya swung in blows after blows, several times against Manik's face. Manik had enough blow to his face, that now his face started swelling up. Manik quickly attacked Arya with his legs and grabbed him with shirt collar by the left hand and flipped him over in one swift motion. He landed one swift blow to Arya's nose which made Arya howl in pain. He landed one more blow at his right eye. Which left Arya with a black right eye and a bloody nose.

Oblivious to their surroundings, fighting among each other, they sought to destroy each other, kicking, punching, lunging and swinging in mortal combat.

Meanwhile, Druv quickly ran out of the room, towards the management staff area where he was sure to find Maddy and the other staff. He knew if he stepped in between, the fight would only get worse. He also remembered the conversation with Cabir and how he said to let them fight it out. But now the situation is getting out of control. There is blood spewing around and Manik and Arya are after each other's lives. If he didn't stop them now then all of them are rotting in jail.

Manik was now being pulled away from Arya by Cabir and Armaan. Him struggling to get out of their grips. With the way he flung his arms around and kicked while screaming at Arya, it was very evident one of them is to die today at this rate. Abhi quickly helped Arya to stand but Arya went ahead within a blink of an eye and lunged himself at Manik. Arya too was pulled away from Manik just as quickly as he attacked by Abhi.

Blood dripped from the dozen wounds from both Manik and Arya. But now everyone knew it was high time and enough of fighting. Cabir was right in one thing though. Now Manik and Arya look a bit calmer and relaxed than before the fight. They had to have a fist fight in order to calm down and talk like humans.

Manik swung his hand at such a force that it ended up hitting Armaan right at his left side face. Soon Armaan could feel his left face cheek swelling up.

"Holy shit! You okay there Armaan?" Cabir asked him worriedly, while he tightened his grip on Manik.

"Yup! All good apart from the distorted face" Armaan replied.

"Grab his hands and put it behind his back, push him down on his knees and restrict the movement of his legs" Abhi instructed Cabir and Armaan, while he did the same with Arya. Arya struggled in Abhi's hold like a wild grizzly bear let loose. So was Manik.

"Calm down, will you? Or else I'll have no option but to knock you out cold." Abhi scolded-yelled at both the men.

Just then, Druv busted into the room with Maddy, Ishaani and a few guards, all alert and ready to take down anyone.
