Chapter 33

"I'm the only son and living member of Thakkar Empire. My father is Nandani's mother's brother and Nandani is the only daughter and living member of Murthy Empire. Arya is the only son of Oberio Empire." Abhi explained once more.

"Thakkar..Murthy? You are telling me...that Nandani is the same Nandani that we used to call as star? And you are the guy that star always talked about? The brother?" Druv asked looking at him in shock.

"Yes"

"Then..why? Why did you guys hide? Why reveal it now? We were searching for star for so many years and there were absolutely no clues" Manik finally asked coming out of his shocked mind.

"After the two got adopted in Oberio, we used our power to keep them hidden and investigate how their parents died, because the accident was so similar to each other, the same road, the same truck, the same time..it can not be a coincidence. We found out that it wasn't an accident but a well-planned murder. We don't know who did that or who is behind it. We saw the same pattern again after so many years when Abhi got into an accident instead of me. That's when we realized that the murderer is now after Oberio's as well." Arya said looking at Manik with a serious expression.

"What does that mean?" Alya asked

"It means, the murderer is after the top business empires. And currently there are only two top Empires. Oberio and Malhotra." Mukti said explaining it to Alya.

"Which means, the murderer is out on loose and is after Arya and Manik? And the real owners of the Empires! Holy shit" Cabir said finally figuring out the whole pattern and everything.

"And now that we are here" Arya said looking at Abhi

"The murderer will soon make a move" Abhi confirmed.

"One good thing, the murderer does not know is that Murthy and Thakkar are alive." Armaan said.

"I need to inform my parents about this..What if the murderer already approached?" Manik panicked.

"I don't think he did, but yes we need to inform." Maddy said.

"How would you know?" Druv asked to which Maddy replied, "I have been keeping an eye on all of you and your business since I started working for Arya. I know every single moment of everyone. Which is why I can confirm"

"That's creepy" Cabir mumbled lowly only to be heard by Mukti who snickered at the comment.

Manik had quickly gotten on a call with his mother to inform about the murderer but to his dismay neither his mother or father were answering the calls.

"Guys! My parents aren't answering the calls!" Manik said panicking.

"Relax, let's get going first." Druv said walking out of the room.

"Manik, stop panicking. We need to inform Mr. Mehra first to leave this place." Alya said while pushing Manik out of the room.

"Where is Nandani?" Armaan asked, now realizing that Nandani is out of sight.

"Before you guys' panic, she is with my wife at the pond for some fresh air." Cabir said while taking out his mobile. "I'll inform them to stay in the resort, I have a bad feeling about this." He said quickly walking out of the room, followed by Armaan and Ishaani.

"I already informed Mr. Mehra; He is sending the vehicles here for us. How many do we need again?" Maddy asked walking out of the room as well.

"We need, 4 vehicles." Ishaani commented.

Arya and Diana just looked at each other in a shock and confused state.

"Are we the only ones that are not panicking?" Arya asked looking towards the door, still standing in his position in the room.

"I guess?" Diana commented.

"I am kind of glad?"

"For having things finally falling into the place?" Diana asked while wrapping her hands around his waist to hug him.

"Yes, we just need to catch the murderer and let Nandani know about Manik, and then I guess our job is done?" Arya asked his dear wife while he wrapped his arms around her and bringing her closer to him. "I like your new shampoo smell"

"You do? I bought a new one. Nandani was insisting on trying this one out." Diana commented happy that her husband liked the smell. "Yes, pretty much. We did a good job with Brittany and the other guys that approached our babies!"

"Yes, that girl better keep her mouth shut if she wants to live." Arya commented.

"I still feel shitty for introducing her to Abhi back then I didn't think she would turn out to be toxic" Diana said feeling guilty.

"It's fine, we caught on fast enough. Thankfully it wasn't too late. Abhi can be such a baby sometimes. If it wasn't for Armaan to barge in the room while Abhi was naked back then we would have never found out."

"Yes, I'm sometimes thankful for Armaan's lack of understanding personal space, haha"

"So, we agree to take these secrets with ourselves to the grave? About how we threatened Brittany with her life so that she would leave Abhi and disappear?"

"Yes, better be heartbroken than abused. But I'm happy to see Abhi finally moving on"

"Who knew this man had a professor student fetish?" Arya said and boomed with laughter.

"Hey! Don't let him hear that!" Diana too chuckled.

"Shall we get going? I don't want to miss out the drama!"

"Ya, ya! Such a drama king"

Sorry for the delay, I had an emergency dental surgery day before yesterday and was totally knocked out yesterday.
