One Week Later:

John and Cynthia took me to the doctors and I ended up being fine. My head was better and everything was progressing nicely for me. I got to know George, Paul and Ringo more. They're such animated and jollity guys. I apologized to Cyn and John for my out break. Finally, everything was getting back to normal.

Tuesday 5:00 pm

I was reading "After The Fall" by Arthur Miller. I lied on my bed and just let my mind go. I loved reading. I always read when I was at the orphanage. The other kids would be playing kick ball or hide and seek. I would just go under a tree and either read or sketch drawings. After I escaped the orphanage, I wanted to learn more. There's so much to learn. I was a sponge and I wanted to absorb all the information I could. That's how I met Ms. Collins. She tutored me until I was eighteen.

My window was cracked and the curtains were flowing in the breeze. I heard George, Paul and Ringo enter the apartment. I wanted to finish my chapter, so I kept silent.

"Where's Hazel?" George asked. "She's in her room." John replied. Dammit, I wanted to finish my book. I heard them walk down the hallway. I buried my head into the book. George, Paul, and Ringo entered my room without knocking. I looked up and playfully rolled my eyes.

"Have you ever heard of knocking?" I joked. Paul sat on my bed and rubbed my hand. He looked up and smiled. Ringo and George sat on the other side of the bed and just smiled at me. I looked at them with an incertitude look. "Is something wrong, guys?" I questioned. I put my book on the side table and they were all still smiling at me. They all exchanged looks. "We were wondering if you want to go to a nightclub with us tonight. You know, have some fun and get out." George hesitantly asked. They all stared at me waiting for a answer. "Oh guys, I don't know. I'm not in the mood." I sadly said. "pleeeaaase!" they all whined. "I want to read my book and relax. Sorry guys." I whined back. I really didn't want to go because I know Ross would be there, drinking away. They all got up and started jumping on my bed like five year olds. I was getting trampled. John walked in. "Pillow fight!" John screamed. They all got pillows and started hitting each other. I couldn't help myself not to laugh at their childishness. Paul accidentally whacked me across the face and I fell on the floor. "Hazel! I'm so sorry!" he gasped. He kneeled to the floor and rubbed my back. I covered my face. "Got ya!" I laughed. He got pissed off, but he cracked a grin. He took me to the corner of the room, the rest were still at war with pillows. "Seriously, Hazel, please come we would all love you too... especially me. You deserve to have fun." Paul insisted. I couldn't say no to those tender, solicitous eyes. I really didn't want to run into Ross though, but it was a risk I was willing to take. "Fine, I'll go!" I said. They all cheered as Ringo's pillow ripped and the feathers went everywhere. We all laughed. "Now get out of my room before you break anything else!" I chuckled.

I got all dressed up in a blue floral dress Cyn gave me to borrow and put my mothers necklace on that she got me. It said "Life's A Journey, Not A Destination." She got me that on my fifth birthday. I got her a necklace saying "My Sunshine." She was my sunshine, she made me happy. Life is a journey but it's been hell for me. I guess I'm on the wrong path. It's too late to turn back now, I'm too lost. I brushed my hair. I opened the door and the guys were talking on the couch. I forgot my bag so I ran back. I heard my name in the conversation and I stood at the door.

"I like Hazel." Paul said. "Whoa, hold it there, Macca! You have a girlfriend!" John teased. "You don't think I know that! I love Jane but Hazel is different. She gets me and I get her. I can help her." Paul raised his voice. "If you hurt her I'll crumple you like crumple cake! You'll break her heart and she doesn't need a player using her!" John sternly said. "I would never do such a thing! I can fix her if she lets me! I never said I like liked her! She's just one of a kind and I want her to know that!" Paul yelled. I never saw him have such a temper. My heart raced. I walked into the living room and pretended I didn't hear anything. Which I was pretty good at.
