Part 5- Heartbreaker

A few days had passed since Lucie had received the flowers from Terzo, and she was kind of disappointed that she'd not ran into him to thank him in person. But she was more disappointed over the fact the flowers were slowly drooping and losing their vibrancy and fresh scent. She wish she could savour them forever.

Fortunately, over the past week that Lucie had now been here for, she'd discovered that her anxious thoughts were taking advantage of her and that the sisters are all in fact lovely and genuine people. She'd conversed with a few of them but had particularly gotten close with a woman a little older than herself, Lilith.

She was in her late 30s and wore her shadowy, black hair just above her shoulders with flawless bangs cut in. Lucie had noticed that her eye makeup was always immaculate, exquisite eye shadow paired with perfect winged eyeliner. She was beautiful.

Lucie was meeting Lilith for breakfast on this glorious Saturday morning. She was already sat with her coffee, awaiting Lucie's arrival. She went over to the kitchen area and made herself her own coffee as well as grabbing one of the fruit bowls the chefs had prepared.

"Morning!" Lucie cheerily beams.

"Ah! Lucie! Good morning my love, how did you sleep last night?" Lilith questions with genuine concern after Lucie had complained about her lack of sleep the past few nights.

"Not too bad, I'm getting there," Lucie pulls her chair in towards the table, "It's starting to feel more like home!"

Lilith sips on her coffee, "The first few weeks are always tough. Just always push the reason why you came here to the forefront of your mind. It takes a certain person to be able move away from your life and restart again, you're doing really great, Lucie. Just take it slow, take a few days of if need be."

"But I've only just got here, I can't just start skipping work with no valid reason."

"Lucie," Lilith placed her mug down and takes Lucie's two hands into her own whilst making encouragingly eye contact, "your mental health is more than a valid reason. You're not in the outside world anymore, you're safe, you're loved and you're valued here. Nobody will care if you off 364 days of the year, as long as you're getting your job done that's all that matters."

"Thanks Lillith, it means a lot, truly a lot" Lucie offers a sincere smile.

"Hey, I'm busy today, but I could totally give you some places in the town you should definitely go and see. Clear you heard, the weather is divine today! Explore a little more, what do you say?"

"Oh, that would be wonderful!" Lucie says as Lilith hands her a piece of paper full of things to do around the town surrounding the ministry.

'You're safe, you're loved, and you're valued here'

Lilith's words repeated in Lucie's head all day like a broken record, she almost felt hopeful about the future for once in her life.

The town was so beautiful and super artistic. The ministry was definitely located in the appropriate place. Colourful buildings lined the streets and vibrant people pottered about. It's the same place Copia has taken her to get dinner a couple of days ago, but she'd failed to take much notice due the overwhelming thoughts possessing her mind.

It's safe to say those thoughts were long gone now. Lucie felt radient, she was glowing. As she is walked through those streets felt as though she'd truly found somewhere she was sure she'd thrive, despite it still being so unfamiliar.
