Part 50- Epilogue
Five years has passed since Terzo's death, Bella was getting much bigger, she'd started school now. She had her mother's blonde hair and her eyes, though Terzo's features filled her maturing face.Lucie had made the decision to finally move to Sweden. Bella was old enough to leave- the time had come. Lucie had also been trying to teach Bella Italian to continue Terzo's legacy after leaving the country, asking for Copia's help.
She'd discussed it with Copia, he'd been in favour of them moving and stated he'd visit her as often as he could- he didn't want to let Terzo down in his promise to care for Lucie and Bella after he'd gone. She'd visited Terzo's body multiple times on the tours he was taken on though flying to America for a nothing but a moment of heartache started to become impractical- she had to move on.
Lucie was sorting though their things, packing anything she'd need and disposing of anything she wouldn't. Selling the house wasn't easy- she had wanted to grow old with Terzo here, or at least raise a family with him until they would have followed through with the plans to move away. Her life had never been the same since that day, though having Bella had given her a reason to live. A reason to get up in the morning. A reason to care.
It had been hard for Lucie having to finally get rid of Terzo's things, she'd left his side of the wardrobe exactly how he'd left it the night that they went to Ministry. She'd found a mass of memories whilst clearing out the clutter, including her wedding dress. The zipper was placed neatly on top of the dress, memories of Terzo breaking the zip came flooding back to her. She chuckled to herself thinking about the night. She also found the amethyst necklace Terzo had gifted to Lucie on their first Halloween together.
"Mamma? Why are you crying?" Her soft, high-pitched voice appeared from the doorway of Lucie and Terzo's bedroom.
Lucie was at on the floor with a briefcase placed in front of her. She'd found the box of Polaroids Terzo had kept from all of the years spent with one another. She sniffles before wiping her eyes.
"I'm sorry sweetie mamma just found some precious things that belong to papà you see."
"Papà!" She exclaims.
"That's right, that's right. This was your papà! Here, come and sit on mamma's lap." She held out her arms, motioning for the girl to enter the room, to which she did as she was told. "Here is me and papà see, he was great fun, always making me laugh. Oh and look! Here he is when you were very little.
"Papà!" She repeated her words, finding great amusement in it. "Is that me?"
"That's you dear yes." Lucie stroked the top of her head as they looked through the old pictures together. "He was the greatest performer- look at how silly he looks wearing mamma's sunglasses here." Bella giggled at the sight of him with women's sunglasses on. "He'd be very proud of you Belle."
"I wish papà was here, when will he be back?"
"Bella sweetie, I've told you, padre isn't here anymore. One day you will meet him again...I promise"
"How long?"
"You love asking questions don't you?" Lucie chuckled. "It'll be hopefully many years until then darling, but he is with you always, in spirit. I feel his presence every day, nobody is ever truly gone, he is watching over me and you always, just like he did when he was still here."
"You make no sense mamma!" She sassed, making Lucie chuckle- she was most definitely the child of Terzo Emeritus
"Cheeky!" Lucie playfully tapped her nose. "Come on, you've still got some packing to do young lady."
