Happy He's Home. (A stobotnik book)

~Chapter 1~

He was gone. Stone didn't know what to do when he first heard the news of Robotnik being transported to some other universe. It hurt him but no one would let him try and get him back. They told stone to wait for him to come back because 'He was crazy anyways.'

Even though it hurt a lot for Robotnik to be gone Stone still worked. Not for the government, but he had gotten a little coffee shop with his savings and was living a decent life, He was content. Making coffee for people who wanted it was one of the best things to keep his emotions at bay.

It had been weeks since Robotnik had disappeared, and he hadn't been in contact with the government since then so it was unexpected when one of Robotnik's old bosses called him after he had closed shop and went home. But still he answered the phone, He had a feelings it was important.

Stone POV

"Hello?" I said with a tired yet calm voice. Why is someone calling me at this hour?

"Hello agent Stone, we have called you to discuss an important matter involving Robotnik."

"Robotnik? What is the matter? Is he back?" I was starting to feel happy, was He home? Can I finally see him?

"No agent, Robotnik is not back, but we need you to take care of someone who is related to him. Her mother and father have recently put her up for adoption because she acts to much like Robotnik. To cut to the chase we would like you to adopt Robotnik's Niece. She likes to be called Eggette. Is you say yes to this offer she will be transported to you immediately and you will get a hefty some of money."

I sighed, so he isn't home.. But taking care of a child? It sounds nice. "Sure sir, I will adopt her" I tried to sound professional but happiness was overtaking me. I could finally have a child of my own.

"Thank you stone, she is on her was to you now, and the money has been transported to your account. Have a good night." The boss said before hanging up.

I was giddy with joy, I hope I can take care of her right, I hope she likes me. Wait is she a genius too? My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. That was fast, amazons one day shipping has nothing on this.

"Coming!" I said before walking to the door and opening it. Eggette was het name right? She looked like a mini Robotnik. "Nice to meet you Eggete, I'll be you dad figure from now on if that's ok with you. Make yourself at home." I smiled to her as she walked inside.

She looked around the place, almost as if she were judging it like Robotnik would. "Thanks for adopting me sir..?"

"Oh! My name is Agent stone, But you can call be stone or dad. Whatever you prefer, Would you like me to show you to your room?" I said with a smile on my face.

"Yes please, and I will call you stone for the time being." She said while looking me in the eye, It was like Robotnik was staring me down.

"Ok then Eggette, right this way." I said before I started giving her a tour of the house and showing her to her room. "This is your room, we can go to the store tomorrow and get some stuff to decorate, and if you want I could sign you up for school."

"Thanks sir, I would like to sign up for school if I can be put in a higher grade than the other kids, seeing as I'm smarter than them. Say highschool perhaps?" She said it calmly.

"Of course, I'll call the school and get you signed up later, but for now have you had dinner? Or would you like to go to sleep?"

She gazed around the room then looking back at stone. "I'd like to go to bed if that's fine with you stone.."

"Sure thing! I hope you sleep well. I'm right down the hall if you need anything." I smiled at her before walking to my room and heading to bed.

Eggette's POV

This man seems nice.. Does he really work for my uncle? Why is he so nice to me? I hope i get to see Ivo soon...

She looked around the room again before changing into Pj's and getting into the bed.

"I hope he isn't in this just for the money. He does seem like he really cares.." she said before dozing off.

Eggette woke up from a nightmare a few hours later, her parents discarded her like she was trash. Left her to rot and die, why did they leave her? She missed them so much, all of these things going through her head as she started to cry. It hurt so much. she wanted to be a happy family again. She cried and sobbed.. She only looked when she heard someone open her door, a blurry figure she would only make out to be a person.

"Eggette! are you ok? Are you hurt?" That was stones voice. Why did he care? Stone rushed over to her and pulled her into a hug. "Hey.. hey, whats wrong kiddo? are you willing to share with the class?" stone said in a calm and playful tone.

She quietly laughed at that through her sobs before returning the hug, it was so warm and he was so friendly. It was nice..

"Do I have to share right now?" She said quietly, her sobs and cries fading as she embraced the man holding her.

"No, we can talk about it tomorrow, or we don't have to talk about it at all. Its your choice." stone said in a reassuring tone.

"I'll talk about it later, I'm tired right now.." She said as she felt herself drift off.

"Ok Eggette, I'll be here." Stone said as he felt his new daughter fall asleep.
