~Part 18~

Stone felt at peace, and happy of course. His family was getting bigger, it was wonderful.

"So um.. why are you guys here again?" Eggette asked the fox and the echidna.

"Well sonic wasn't treating us like good friends I guess.. and I wanted to apologize for what he did to you guys!" Tails said, looking at stone while he spoke.

"Yes! As the fox said! That hedgehog was not treating us with respect! I thought he was our friend." Knuckles spoke in his normal tone, though it drooped at the end.

"Hm. I should've known that rodent would've done something like that." Ivo spoke flatly, trying to seem professional.

"Love?" Stone held Ivo's arm as he spoke.

Ivo's aura changed immediately. From no emotions to all of them, tails took note of it. "Yes amour?" Ivo held stones waist.

"Can we go sit down? It kinda hurts to stand for this long." Stone chuckled with a soft smile on his face.

"Of course! Follow us to the living room children." Ivo said as he walked stone to the couch and they sat down on it next to each other.

Tails and Eggette walked to the couch and stood in front of it, knuckles following behind them. Eggette sat on the couch next to Ivo while tails and knuckles sat next to each other on the floor.

"So, how long do you plan to stay here kiddos?" Stone asked politely, petting the fox.

"As long as you will let us stay if that's alright." Tails said, warming up the the agents touch and nuzzling into stones hand.

"Well you can stay as long as you would like." Ivo said flatly, holding stones waist with one hand.

"We will stay until the hedgehog learns his lesson!" Knuckles stated as he climbed onto the couch next to stone as Eggette crawled into Ivo's lap.

"If he ever does." Ivo scoffed and reached for the Tv remote. "Does anyone want to watch anything?"

"Let's watch a friendly movie for the children." Stone suggested.

"Ok then, something Disney it is." Ivo logged into the service and scrolled through the movies.

"Lilo and stitch! Please!!" Eggette said happily.

"That sounds nice!" Tails said as he made his way into stones lap.

"Ok then, Childs movie it is." Ivo said as he click on the movie. "Are you sure they can't watch a better movie?" He asked stone.

"Lilo and stitch is a great movie love. Now shush" Stone kissed Ivo's cheek and the children groaned and Eggette pretended to throw up.

"I'm never going to get a boyfriend!" Eggette exclaimed.

"Good for you, now watch the movie." Ivo said as the patted his daughters head.

As the movie played tails and knuckles seemed in a trance, as if they had never watched anything before. And when the movie was over everyone seemed ima happier mood, as if a weight had been lifted off their shoulders.

"Sonic only watches the movie called speed. I can practically recite the entire script at this point!" Tails said, waving his arms as he started to mock the lines in the movie. Making everyone laugh and chuckle.

"Damn that sucks." Ivo remarked. "Do you want to pick the next movie?" Ivo handed the remote to tails.

"Oh sure! Thanks sir!" Tails smiled and hugged Ivo before looking at movies, he soon decided on Chip n dale rescue rangers.

"Look how cute the little chipmunks are love!" Stone said happily.

"They are quite nice amour." Ivo smiled as he felt stone lean onto him.

As soon as the movie ended knuckles said it was his turn to pick one, he settled on wreck it Ralph. It suited him well and he found himself relaxing.

"Well before this movie stars does anyone want popcorn?" Stone asked.

"Me!" Eggette and tails said at the same time.

"I would also like some popped corn." Said knuckles.

"Ok then! Give me one minute." Stone sat up and got tails off of his lap as he made his way to the kitchen.

"Amour let me help." Ivo got Eggette of his lap and went to help stone, leaving the children on the couch.

"So what's with eggman?" Tails asked Eggette.

"What do you mean?" Eggette responded in a questioning tone.

"Well he seems different, softer I guess?" Tails scratched the back of his neck.

"Well we stopped trying to fight your friend for one, and papa is happy with my dad. He is more relaxed.

"Hm. Makes sense. Who is papa and who is dad?" Knuckles questioned.

"Well you know dad as stone and eggman is papa. Dad adopted me before papa came back. But we are a happy family now." Eggette said happily.

"What about the robot?" Tails pointed at Metal.

"Oh! He's my brother! I built him to protect us after sonic destroyed papas big robot.

"That's so cool!! Nice to meet you Metal!" Tails extended his hand to the robot who had found his way to Eggette.

Metal shook the foxes hand and sat next to Eggette.

"He doesn't talk much to new people it seems." Eggette said as she turned to Metal.

"That's ok!" Tails smiled.

"Ok, we've got popcorn and some little bowls of ice cream. Come pick what flavor you want." Ivo said as the children raced to the kitchen and grabbed their bowls. Stone and Ivo make their way to the couch and sat down, the children making their way back into their spots next to or on the adults as the movie started.

"Do you have grapes?" Knuckles asked.

"Uh, yes. In the fridge." Stone said, trying to be polite. Though he was confused on why the echidna asked for grapes.

Knuckles walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge, found the grapes, and put some in his vanilla ice cream. "He likes grapes in his ice cream." Tails said while smiling and watching the movie.

"Thank you." Knuckles said before sitting next to stone again.

"Of course!" Stone pet the echidna and smiled.

When the movie was finished stone, with Ivo's help. Got tails and knuckles room set up. Which took a few hours, then got everyone ready for bed.

Tails looked at his pjs then hugged Ivo and stones legs. "Thank you again, for letting us stay here I mean." Tails stated before yawning.

"It's no problem, really. Now let's get you to sleep sugar." Stone picked up the fox and laid him in his new bed before tucking him in. "Goodnight now." Stone quickly kissed the foxes forehead.

"Goodnight dad. If I can call you that, and goodnight papa." Tails said before drifting off to sleep.

"Yes, goodnight." Knuckles said before getting into his bed and going to sleep.

"Mm.. goodnight dad and papa. Me and Metal are going to sleep too." Eggette held metals hand as she stumbled through the hall into her room.

"Goodnight dad and papa!" Metal whisper yelled from Eggette's room.

Stone hugged Ivo and smiled. "Goodnight kids.." they said together before heading to their room.

They laid on their bed and cover themselves up. "You know amour, you're making a quick recovery! I'm happy." Ivo said as he caressed stones thigh with his hand.

"Oh! Thank you my love. I'm glad I'm recovering so fast as well." Stone kissed Ivo and held the taller man close as they fell asleep together.
