~Chapter 3~

Stone's POV

He was beet red as he followed his boos to where the robots where, Did Robotnik kiss him to get him to listen? Did he feel the same way stone did? There's no way.. Stone kept trying to figure out why Ivo kissed him. But his thoughts were short lived because he ran right into Ivo. 

"Sorry sir!" He almost yelled as he backed away from the taller man.

"Its fine stone, I'm not going to hurt you." Ivo said, not taking his eyes off of his old machines and Eggette. Ivo's words calmed Stone, his boss seemed much calmer than last time he'd seen him. Maybe that mushroom planet messed with Ivo's brain?

No Ones POV

The night went on as if everyone had known each other since forever, they were making plans and having fun. 

"I have to take Eggette home so she can get to bed, do you want to come home with me before you do do your plans? or do you plan on heading out to get that emerald thing now?" Stone said while picking up his now sleeping daughter from a chair she was sitting in.

"I'll.. we have time before me and knuckles go and get that emerald. So yes, I'd like to come home with you if knuckles can come." Ivo said. Not taking his eyes off of stone as he followed the smaller man to his car.

"Sure he can come, he is part of our team now right?" Stone said whilst putting the child into her seat and strapping her in, before helping knuckles into a seat.

"Of course he is!" Ivo said with a smile as he got into the passenger seat and stone got into the driver's seat.

"Ok then sir" Stone said with a smile as he started driving. It was a peaceful drive, stone and Robotnik were having a great conversations about robots n shit. The drive felt shorter than it was because of how much they were enjoying each other company and before they knew it they were at Stone's house.

"Nice house you have stone." Ivo said while getting out of the car and sort of helping knuckles out.

"Thank you sir, that means a lot coming from you. Now I'll show you to the spare room then I'll put Eggette in her room and head to bed myself if that's fine with you sir." Stone said as he got the sleeping child out of her seat and carried her inside the house as if she weighed nothing. Needless to say Ivo was impressed with stones strength and ability to care for a child in such a way.

"Just call me Ivo, Stone. No need for the formalities, you're like family at this point." The doctor said as he followed stone into the house. Damn it was even nicer on the inside. The place was spotless.

"Ok s- Ivo, I'll show you were to sleep and I'll get you things like toothbrushes ok?" stone said as he showed the doctor around the house and to his room.

"that sounds nice stone, this room is nice too."

"Thanks sir. I'll be back in a minute." Then stone left the room, laid Eggette down and got the doctor and the echidna both toothbrushes, towels, etc. before coming back to the room Ivo was in. "Here sir. Have a good night now, see you tomorrow." But before stone could leave the room Ivo grabbed his arm, not in a harsh way. It was gentle yet firm touch and stone loved it.

"Again, Call be Ivo, stone. And goodnight to you too."

Stone smiled and nodded before heading to his room.

Ivo's POV

He helped the echidna figure out what the hell sleep was right after stone left then got himself ready for bed. As he wandered around stones house he noticed a paper on the counter, curious he picked it up. It was a drawing Eggette made, even though she was a genius she still acted like a child in the ways a normal child did. He wondered why stone adopted her. Did her parents die? Did they not want her? If so why? She was so happy around stone, himself, and the echidna. 

"hm. I'll ask stone about it later.." he said before putting the drawing on the counter.

"Ask me about what doctor?" Stone asked in a very tired haze then grabbing the drawing off the counter and putting it on the fridge with a magnet.

"Why is Eggette with you and not her real parents?"

"I am her real parent now." Stone said a bit angrily "And her parents said she was 'too much like her uncle'. whatever that means, you're awesome" He said before yawning.

"You... You think I'm awesome?" the doctor said, he was astonished Stone thought of him like that. It made him happy.

"Of course I do silly. I'm going back to sleep now, try not to be so loud ok? Eggette gets cranky when she doesn't get enough sleep." Stone yawned, walking past Robotnik. "Just like you Ivo, Goodnight." he said before going out of the doctor sight.

The doctors face was beet red, out of embarrassment that he had woken stone and maybe having a crush on the smaller, cuter man. Wait. Cute?? What was he thinking? 'I mean I did kiss him earlier' he thought, putting his hand over his lips. He did like the kiss and he was sure Stone liked it too so why was he second guessing things? Well he knew one thing now, He liked stone.
