~Chapter 15~

Robotnik got to work helping Eggette with the force field like wall. Though he worked in the same room that Stone was sleeping in. It had been a few days since Stone has been out. Metal went back and forth between the room Eggette was in and the room Stone and Ivo were in, constantly checking the agents condition. Most of his wounds were getting better, but the arm that had a chunk missing was only getting worse, it was infected.

"Papa, I'm going to have to amputate the lower arm." Metal pulled up a hologram to further explain what was wrong with the arm.

"Do what you must, but be careful please. I'll make him a mechanical arm soon. I have to get some more code to support the base code for the wall." Ivo quickly looked at Metal before looking back at the holograms he was working on.

"Ok papa, I shall get to work now." Metal went to another room to get the materials. Like painkillers, a knife, gauze, etc. "Papa do you want to be in here? Or should you leave?" Metal looked at Ivo with a concerning look.

"I'll stay. I need to make sure stone is ok." Ivo looked at stone and held his hand, gently squeezing it.

Metal nodded before quickly getting to work. It was all in his programming to fix wounds. But this was still a tad difficult, seeing that he was taking off half an arm. But he still did it flawlessly. A few hours later where stones elbow was is now wrapped in gauze.

Ivo worked nonstop on stones new and and helping Eggette with the shield. He didn't eat or sleep. He just sat by stone working and checking his vials. It hurt Metal to see.

"Papa, it's been five days, seven hours, forty three minutes, and sixteen seconds since you have started working. Take a break. I will wake you up if dad wakes up." Metal almost demanded, he was worried..

"Metal I just need time! I need to get this done for Stone and You and Eggette! You guys need to be safe Damnit! I promised myself I would keep you guys safe." Ivo said angrily, he was pissed off at everyone who hurt his family. And he was pissed off at himself for not protecting Stone.

"I will keep everyone safe. Go to sleep." Metal deadpanned. He was stubborn just like Eggette and Ivo, Metal wasn't going to lose this.

"No. I need to finish the coding for the wall and the base structure of Stones arm. If you can do that then maybe I'll sleep." Ivo looked at the robot then at Stone. He wanted stone to wake up and tell him he was ok, that he would never let this happen again, he wanted to be in stones embrace.

"I can finish those, it is in my programming on how to code and build. I shall help." Metal walked over to Ivo's and grabbed the things from him, getting to work again so his papa would sleep. Metal didn't get tired so it was simply a time passer for him.

Ivo let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you Metal. Again." Ivo crawled into the bed next to stone, it was his bed too after all. He made sure that stone wouldn't be in any discomfort before laying down and quickly falling asleep.

24 hours. Or a day. That's how long he slept, he woke up to someone having a hand on his head, which has started growing back hair. He let out a hum to let the other know he was awake, still drowsy he looked up at the person holding him and it was stone. He was finally awake.. Ivo held the man closer to him and leaned up to give Stone a kiss.

"Happy to see me..?" Stone said hoarsely with one of the sweetest smiles anyone could ever see. "I missed you my love..." Stone took a deep breath as he tried to sit himself up more, though he fell back down. Not used to having half an arm on his left side.

"Hey you don't need to go anywhere yet, you need to heal up." Ivo sat up and helped stone lean against him. "I'll get everything you need. And I.. I missed you too, a lot to be honest." Ivo gently kissed stones cheek before being roughly kissed on the lips by stone, he kissed back of course. He missed kissing the smaller man.

"You don't have to be so gentle with me, I'm very strong you know." Stone caressed Ivo's cheek with his hand.

"Im sorry, I'm scared that I might hurt you, Metal told me about your ribs and everything. I stayed by your side every day you know.." Ivo said sincerely, or course he would know everything that was hurt.

"You don't need to be sorry I understand your concern, I would say sorry too. And if you were by my side every day how long was I out?" Stone asked, genuinely curious.

"Five days." Ivo said sadly before kissing his lover again.

"Oh, and why is my lower arm missing?"

"It got infected, it was the best way to treat it with what we had."

"Makes sense. Do you need something to eat? Metal told me that you didn't eat the entire time I was out." Stone said his last sentence with a hint of anger in it, that Ivo noticed.

"I'll eat later, I want to spend time with you amour. And when did you wake up?" Ivo got closer to some, they were cuddling at this point.

"Shortly before you did my love. And dispite sleeping for what five days? I'm still exhausted." Stone put most of his weight onto the taller man.

"Well your body is using all of your energy to heal itself and.." Ivo rambled on about where most of stones energy was going and how it was being used, stone missed hearing Ivo talk. It seemed he knew everything about anything. Stone fell asleep to Ivo talking, it was calming to him.

"Stone?" Ivo looked back at the smaller man after stopping his rambling to realize he fell asleep, how did he not notice the change in heart rate earlier? Whatever. Stone was so beautiful even when he slept, it was mesmerizing.. Ivo ran his fingers through stones hair and smiled at his lover. He felt like the luckiest man in the world, and maybe stone did too.
