~Chapter 2~

Time skip a few months.

Eggette POV

Stone and Eggette had been living with each other for a few months now, things were going great. Stone was happy, and Eggette was happy, She loved her new dad and he loved her as if she was his child. She was happy with the education she got even though she was ahead of the others. Other than the fact that anytime she brought up her uncle Stone said-

"He is around these parts right now" or "he's busy right now." She also noticed that anytime she brought up her uncle Stone would seem to get sad though he would quickly put a smile on his face. She had put it off for a while and just told herself that Stone missed her uncle, until now. It was nighttime and Eggette was getting ready for bed when she heard crying, it was faint but she knew who it was. She ran to stones room, bursting through the door and running to stone before hugging him tightly.

"Dad! Why are you crying? Is it because of uncle Ivo? What's wrong papa?"

Stone froze before looking at Eggette with a smile. "Y- you called me dad.."

She smiled. She did think of him as her dad, but she put of calling him that in the fear of making him uncomfortable. She was very mature for her age. " I guess I did. Now what's wrong papa?"

"I just miss your uncle Ivo. He meant a lot to me..I hope that he will return soon" Stone said as he hugged Eggette.

"I miss him too papa.. but I'm sure he will be home with us soon." She said as she embraced her father.

"I hope so." Stone said with a soft smile. "Now isn't it time for bed kiddo? You have school tomorrow"

"Can I lay with you papa? And plus I'm way smarter than those other kids. None of them compare to me!" Eggette joked.

"Of course you can lay with me. And if you're so far ahead do you want to take the day off tomorrow and come to my shop with me? I have some of Ivo's old robots in the back."

"Of course papa! And it seems to me that you're in love with my uncle." She said in a mocking and playful tone. She loved seeing her dad so happy. Maybe him and her uncle could be in a relationship?

Stone turned beet red before laying down on his bed and covering up. "Shhhh- he might hear you. Now go to sleep kiddo, don't want to be tired now do we?"

"You didn't answer my question, but yes. I don't wanna be tired. Eggette covered herself and laid on the other side of her fathers bed.

"Yes Eggette, I'm in love with your uncle. Now don't tell him ok? Goodnight.." Stone said before drifting off.

"Of course dad.." Eggette said as she fell asleep.

No one's pov

Eggette and Stone walked up to the small coffee shop around 30 minutes before it opened so Stone could show his daughter around and show her the robots.

"Now be careful with them ok? They can be dangerous." Stone said in a stern yet calm voice.

Eggette nodded "I'll be careful. Now go serve those people before we get Karen's yelling at you and me shooting said Karen." Eggette laughed.

Stone chuckled before heading to the front of the store and taking orders.

It was a fairly regular day, a Karen, officer Wade coming by for his usual coffee, Stone loved serving the people. Eggette came and helped too from time to time.
