~Chapter 6~

The drive was awful and really long, like really long. Ivo and Eggette were still sleeping and Stove was on the verge of passing out while driving. He had been up for at least two days straight, he hadn't been able to sleep for the past few nights from the excitement of Ivo finally being home. Stone soon felt Ivo stirring in his seat, it was kind of cute and it make stone smile.

"Ugh, where are we going stone?" Ivo asked, his voice very groggy from just waking up.

"To our new home, we will be safe there." Stone said confidently.

"Ok love, how long have we been on the road? You look exhausted!"

"Around- um. Uh-"

"Stone, when was the last time you slept?"

Stone mumbled and continued to stare at the road.

"Stone." Ivo sounded a bit angered but full of worry at the same time, he wanted stone to be ok.

"Like.. three days ago? I'm ok though Ivo! I Have stayed up longer for jobs." Stone said casually.

"Stone pull over and give me the address of where we are going. I'm going to drive now, get some rest." Ivo demanded.

Stone smiled sweetly and continued driving. "I'll be ok for another few days. And besides we get there in like a day so I'll be fine."

"Stone you're about to pass out god damnit! Please! Stone I'm- I'm worried for you ok?" Ivo tried not to yell as Eggette was still sleeping.

Stone sighed. "Thank you Ivo but I'm ok, really. We can stop for a while ok? We need some snacks anyways"

"Ok. Let's find a place to stop and look around." Ivo stopped pressuring stone and gave into the smaller man's words.

Stone nodded and stopped the car at a small park that was next to a cute little store.

"Ok, I'll wake up Eggette and we can walk around the park for a little while. Then we get food and get back on the road." Stone instructed.

Ivo nodded and waited for Stone to get Eggette out of the car. Eggette groaned and held onto her fathers hand as they walked around the park, it was quite a nice park. It was a nice way to wake up. Soon Eggette was going on and on about all of the birds and types of trees, to which Ivo joined in on. Stone smiled at how they could talk about anything and be right about it.

"Dad! Can we get a pet one day?" Eggette pleaded.

Stone chuckled. "Maybe when we get fully moved in ok? Pets are a lot of work."

"But I'll take care of it I swear! I want a pretty cat! Or a bird!" Eggette smiled happily and ran around her father who peacefully walked around the parks trails.

"Well we can't get both that's for sure!" Ivo chimed in.

Stone nodded and held Ivo's hand, It was warm. And surprisingly soft, he loved it. "Let's get some food at that shop then we can hit the road again. We are halfway there!"

"Ok dad! Can we get candy?" Eggette smiled and held her dad's other hand.

"Of course honey! You deserve it!" Stone said happily.

"Yay!" Eggette yelled and ran into the store, practically dragging Stone with her. Ivo smiled at that, Maybe they could be a happy family if Ivo gave up his research on that blue rat. Ivo then followed them into the store and helped then pick out drink and food. Stone paid for the food even though Ivo insisted that he could. They really did act like a married couple sometimes.

"Ok kid lets get you in the car now, Stone. I'm driving, just give me the address and your phones map ok?" Ivo told stone, then getting Eggette into her seat and getting in the car, stone following.
