Birthday Girl

Months have passed after Meredith slapped Andrew. Since then, Meredith tried her best to keep her distance from Andrew, he also did the same thing. They only talk when it comes on their company. There was one time Andrew asked Meredith for some favor, Derek found it really weird because she can't keep an eye on Andrew.

Meredith's 31st Birthday.....
"Hey, Mer Happy Birthday!!" Christina greeted her while she was fixing her hair. "Hi, Thanks!!" she replied. "You ready?" Christina asked. "Yeah, more than ready. I'm so excited" Meredith replied.
Christina helped her wear her dress. It was a black dress that makes her look sexier. She helped her zip the back. She also helped her with her makeup. After fixing each other. They walked outside and went to the car. They have a driver so they both sit at the back.

A few moments later....
They arrived at the venue. Christina walked in first. She looked for Derek, so that she could tell him that she's here. He found Derek and Andrew talking to each other, while holding a glass of wine in their hands. She went to Derek, "Hey, she's waiting outside" she whispered. "Uhm, I gotta go Andrew, see you around" he said to him. Andrew nods then Derek walked outside to go get Meredith. "Hello, Birthday Girl! You look gorgeous!" he said to Meredith then he kissed her. "Thanks!!" she replied then she hugged him. They walked and the guard opened the door for them.

Andrew's POV
I saw her walked inside she was holding Derek's hands. There is no doubt that she's the most beautiful girl here tonight. She was wearing a black dress that made her look really gorgeous. I wonder if she could still remember her 20th birthday.

He saw her looked at him but then she looked away immediately. Andrew felt a pain on his heart. She's been avoiding her for months. Even though they work together, it seems like they're miles apart. She won't even look at him for more than 10 seconds. He can't stand the fact that the love of his life is happy with another man. Or was she really happy?

Andrew watched Meredith the whole night. He watched her as she laughed with other people inside the venue. He watched her drink her glass of wine, he watched her ignore him the whole night.

Everyone gathered in a circle for a dance. A soft romantic music started playing. Of course Meredith and Derek danced together because they're the couple. Andrew dance with some random girl. While they are dancing, Andrew looked at Meredith instead of looking at his partner. When he caught Meredith steal a glance, he immediately looked away. Meredith watched Andrew as he dance with other girl, she could feel something that she was not supposed to feel. "Meredith stop, okay. There's nothing to be jealous about" she said in her head then she looked back to Derek. The music stop so everyone could change their partners, she was surprised when Andrew asked Derek if he could dance her. "Sure, no problem" Derek replied. Derek danced with Addison. Andrew grabbed her hands and take her for a dance, a very romantic music started playing. Everyone started dancing. Meredith can feel the tension building up between her and Andrew. He was looking at her straightly in the eyes. Her legs started to shiver with the thought that she's dancing with the man he despise, yet she doesn't want to go away. "Do you still remember your 20th Birthday??" he asked while they are dancing slowly. She's not answering. "You were wearing a red dress that time, paired with a heels. I could still remember the smell of the seashore that night. I could still feel the warm hug you gave me when you let me become your boyfriend. Your name is still written on my lips" he stated. Meredith felt a pain in her heart because he could still remember those moments and it seems like he doesn't want to forget it but she on her own have been trying her best to forget those moments. "Can you please just shut up?" she whispered then a single tears dropped from her rosy cheeks. Andrew wiped her tears away. She could feel the warmth on his thumb, she wants them to stay like that forever. She let that moment continue but a thought came in to her head, it's wrong, she shouldn't be doing this, she's betraying Derek. She pulled herself away then ran outside. Andrew was left there standing.

Christina saw Meredith ran away so she followed her. "Hey, Mer. What happened?" Christina asked worriedly. Meredith started crying then she covered her face. "What'd he do, did he hurt you? Did Andrew took advantage of you?" Christina asked then she hugged Meredith. "No, he did not. It was me, I feel like I'm betraying Derek. I feel like I don't deserve to be his girlfriend" she said then she cried again. Christina hugged her tighter, and tried her best to comfort Meredith.

They walked again inside. They saw Derek approaching. She immediately fix herself. "Hey, where did the two of you went?" Derek asked. "Ugh just inhaling fresh air outside" Meredith replied.

The whole night goes on, Meredith received lots of greetings. The guests are going home one by one.
Meredith is also preparing to go home, he kissed Derek and hugged him. Derek kissed her back, longer this time. Andrew felt his heart collapsed as he watches them. He wanted to protest and tell them to stop but he can't.

Meredith went home. She removed her makeup and changed into pyjamas. She laid down on bed and closed her eyes, still thinking of her and Andrew's dance at the party.

I don't know if you cried here but while I was writing this chapter I am literally crying. I'm the one who's writing and I could really feel the pain they both have. If you guys are wondering about Mer's age, well it's because Meredith and Andrew dated on her 20th birthday then he left after five years, so that makes her 25 then he comes back again after 5 years which makes her 30 and now it's her 31st birthday .Hope you enjoyed this chapter.
