Almost A Love Story

Malibu

Everyone gathered inside the meeting room. Derek called them for something really important. Meredith walks in, she sat next to Christina. A few moments later Andrew walks in he sat infront of Meredith. She tried her best to avoid eye contact with him. Everyone is already inside.

"Good Morning, everyone" Derek greeted. Everyone smiled at him. "I really appreciate the efforts that each and everyone of you have put this year" Derek added. "Ohhh, is there a surprise for us Mr. Sheperd" Jo asked then Alex told her to keep quiet. "Oh yeahh, he's got a surprise for us right, Sir" Christina exclaimed. Meredith and the other staffs chuckled. "Okay, calm down. We're going to Malibu" Derek said excitingly. "To what?" Meredith asked confusedly. "Haven't you heard? We're going to Malibu, Mer" Christina said shaking Meredith's arm. "I decided to give thanks for all the efforts you've shown, so we're going on a vacation" Derek added. "I'm sorry, can I ask who suggested for us to go to Malibu because-" even before Meredith could finish her sentence Andrew interrupts her. "Me, i was the one who suggested Malibu" Andrew said proudly. Her eyes widened as Andrew looked at her. She knows he's got a plan, that's why he suggested Malibu. "Is there any problem, Grey?" Addison asked. "No, nothing. She love Malibu hehehehehehe" Christina answered for Meredith who's still in shock. Christina pulled Meredith to sit down again.

Everyone is so excited to go to Malibu except Meredith who seems so pissed with the fact that they're going to Malibu.

"Christina, I can't go there" Meredith complained. "Why?" Christina replied. "You know why" she added. "Oh, c'mon Mer. Don't be such a kill joy" Christina replied. "I'll tell Derek to change the plans" Meredith added. "Oh, as if he would listen to you" Christina replied. "Of course he will, I'm his fiance" Meredith said proudly.
"Mer, we're going to Malibu, okay. Whatever is it in your head right now erase it please. We're going, end of discussion!" Christina said. Meredith sighs then they continue packing their things.

The bus has arrived, almost everyone is here. The vehicle is almost half loaded. Minutes later Christina arrived with Meredith. They sat in the back. Derek won't travel with them on the bus. He went to Malibu first, he has to arrive there first. Andrew arrived last he left his car on the parking lot and went to the bus. There's no other seat except on the spot next to Meredith. He has no other choice but to sit in there. The driver start the engine and then off he goes.

It was hours of drive, most of the workers are asleep. Meredith isn't really feeling comfortable to sit next to Andrew. She tried her best to avoid eye contact. A few moments later, Andrew noticed Meredith is asleep and her head is falling back. Meredith's head slowly fall onto his shoulder. Andrew fix it so she can sleep comfortable. Everyone is asleep he's the only one left wide awake. He tried his best to make Meredith comfortable while sleeping.

The bus stopped, Meredith woke up and realize she's been sleep on his shoulder. She pulled away and stand up. "We're here!!" Jo shouted excitedly. Meredith and Christina went down on the bus and look for Derek. They found him on the lobby of the hotel talking to a man, who seems to be also a business man. "Hey, Derek!!" Meredith screamed from the back. Derek looked back and saw Meredith. He said goodbye to the man and walk to Meredith, he gave her a warm hug. Andrew walks in and he saw Meredith and Derek kissing each other. He felt another pain in his heart, he looked away to ease the pain. "So, how's the journey?" Derek asked. "Nothing more important, I fell asleep on the bus" Meredith replied. They both chuckled.
Everyone went to the rooms they'll be staying. Derek and Meredith will be staying at room together of course.

It was a sunny afternoon, everyone is enjoying the beach. Meredith walks on the sand wearing a green one piece swimsuit. Derek arrived and grabbed Meredith on the beach. Andrew watches them full of jealousy, he watches as she laughed with him, he watches Derek carry Meredith on the water, he watches them kissed each other. In his head, he wanted to be that man, the man who will make her laugh, the man who will carry her and throw her on the cold water, he wanted to be the man who will kiss her.

The night came, Derek decided to rent a yacht so that they could eat dinner there and enjoy the view of Malibu at night.
They we're all inside the yacht eating dinner together. They talked a lot while eating, the all laughed together. After eating Derek and Meredith went to the deck to see the view, it was cold that's why Derek gave his jacket to Meredith. They we're both holding a glass of champagne on their hands. They talked for a little while, then Derek said he's going to pee. He kissed her softly on the lips. Meredith was staring at the sea when Andrew came and stood next to her. "Can you stop following me?" Meredith said angrily. "I am not following you. I'm here to see the view not you" he replied quickly. Meredith sighs "Then go enjoy the view somewhere else" she said. "You go, I'll stay here!" Derek protests. "No, I came here first. You should be the one to go away. Keep your distance!!" she replied.

They were arguing when they heard someone scream. "There's a fire!" someone screamed from the inside. Then the smoke started to fill the entire yacht. Meredith was about to run but they heard a loud sound, something explode. Andrew quickly grabbed her and covered her when something exploded again.
