Almost A Love Story

In another Life

The Earthquake last for almost a minute, it was a short period of time but the damage it brought was unbelievable.

The Earthquake lasts for almost a minute, most of the employees are already outside the building. Andrew is also outside panicking screaming Meredith's name. He was looking for her but he can't seem to find her.

Andrew's POV
I could hear others crying, others were still panicking so am I. I've been looking for Meredith and I can't find her. I've asked almost everyone out here but they have no clue. My legs started to shiver. What if she's still inside. What if she's trapped inside. A fear crept into my heart. I look at the building panicking.

They tried to stop him from running back inside the building but he shove them and quickly ran back inside.
He coughs as he accidentally sniffed the smoke inside.
The inside of the building was almost down, making it hard for him to find her.

"Mer, Meredith??" he screamed inside, trying to find her. There are still people inside, some of them were injured and some are not. He kept on screaming her name. Searching every corner of the building.

He's near the lobby still looking for her. "Mer, Meredith?? Where are you??" he screamed. He suddenly stopped when he heard a familiar voice. It was coming from the knocked corner of the floor.

He heard someone coughs violently. "He-help, help me please". He quickly ran to where the voice is coming from. He was shocked to see Meredith, laying down on the floor. Half of her body was under the big fallen debris.

"Meredith?" tears came streaming down his cheeks as he saw her head bleeding. He kneeled in front of her tried to move her but she grunts. "Ah, I can't. My legs it hurts" she cried. "Okay, just calm down I'm gonna get you out in here okay?" he said trying to pull up the debris on her legs.

He tried to move it, it was too heavy but he kept on trying. His heart shattered as he heard her screamed on pain. He managed to move it away after few more attempts.

He's panting heavily, trying to catch his breath. He looked at her worriedly. Tears are streaming down his cheeks as he looks at her. "Just stay here, okay? I'm gonna go ask for help" he said to her. "No, please just-just stay here" she said coughing.

He leaned closer to her, he took her and put her on his embrace. He is holding her on his arms, sitting in there crying. She looked at him smiling, despite the pain. "Andrew, I'm sorry" she said looking at him in the eyes. "Shhh, it's not your fault okay. I'm gonna get you out in here" he said kissing her forehead. "No, let's just stay like this for a while" she said crying.

She coughs and then there's blood coming out of her mouth. They both looked st her stomach and realized that there's a piece of metal on her stomach. Tears came streaming down her cheeks with what she saw.

They can't pull out the metal, because she might bleed out. She slowly moves and took something out of her pocket. It was the pregnancy test, she gave it to him.

Andrew looks at it. He cried a few seconds later. "Yo-you're pregnant? I'm gonna be a daddy?" he said smiling while crying. She looked at him smiling through the pain.

"Andrew, I can't take it anymore. I can't feel my body anymore. My eyesight is starting to blur out. I-i feel like I'm gonna die, i don't wanna die" she said crying. "Shhhh, you're not gonna die okay? We're still going to build an amazing family. We're gonna buy a house near the sea, so you can enjoy the view. We're still going to name the baby together, we still have lots to do, alright. You're not gonna die, Meredith Grey. Not today, you'll die when you're like a hundred year old" he said trying to confort her.

"If i die today, I don't want you to live in pain. I want you to find another woman, who can love you better than I can. Start a new life, and let my soul go. I love You Andrew, and I want you to be happy even without me" she said looking at him smiling as tears are flowing down her cheeks.

"No, no don't say that okay? You're not gonna die, not in my arms. Please Meredith, just hold on" he said pulling her on his embrace. She slowly pulled away and then she looked at him.

"Andrew?" Meredith asked. He looks at her without saying anything. "Kiss me!" she said putting her arms at the back of his head. He can't do it because he knows what's gonna happen next. "No, I won't. We're not having our last kiss today" Andrew refused.

"Andrew, please" she begs. He looks at her and then he slowly leaned in. "You got it, blondie" he said before giving her a long and soft kiss on the lips.

As he pulled away from the kiss, he noticed her eyes slowly closing. She smiled at him one last time, "I Love You" she whispered then her eyes closed and her arms fell down from his shoulders.

His world suddenly stopped, as he watched he died on his arms. He pulled her, embracing her more. He is crying heavily giving Meredith a kiss on her forehead. He screamed in pain but there are no words coming out from his mouth. He hugged her warm and dead body tighter, still crying heavily.

Everything flashes back on his mind, his first kiss, their first date, their first out of town, every good memories of them together started flashing back on his mind. He cannot believe that the girl he loves the most, died in his own arms, she died in his embrace.

After her funeral....

Everyone was devastated with her death. Her friends came into the funeral. Christina couldn't stop crying. She can't stop blaming Andrew for her best friend's death.

They all went home after the funeral. Andrew walked into his bedroom upstairs. Other's are talking down stairs, they're talking how kind she is to them.

He opened the door, and went to his office table
He took something out of the drawer. It was pills. He layed down on the bed holding the pills on his hands, staring at the ceiling while crying.

"If we can't be together in this world, I hope there's a multi verse with me and you on it, living happily together" he took the pills and swallowed all of it.
"Wait for me, Meredith. I'll be right there" he closed his eyes gently. As he closed his eyes, he was picturing Meredith, standing on a hallway wearing a white floral dress, smiling and waiting for him to get closer.

Oh My God!!! Seriously, i don't even know how I ended up with this. I'm sorry if I you're feelings. I had so much fun writing this whole story. I admit I kinda cried while writing this one.
