Almost A Love Story

Missing purse

Meredith just woke, she went straight to the bathroom. She still can't believe what she did to Andrew. He pushed him away. He told her to keep his distance from her. She knows on her own that she did not mean to say those words. She suddenly felt a pain on her heart, she felt like she's betraying Derek. He doesn't know anything about Meredith and Andrew's past.
She take a bath, eat breakfast and get ready for work.

Meredith's POV
I was walking down the parking lot and saw Christina. I told her what I did yesterday. She stopped walking then she looked at me.
"I thought you've moved on?"Christina asked. "I have, I've moved, it's all in the past." I added. "Then why are you reactingvto him this way?" she replied. "I don't know, I just- I'm just not really comfortable when he's around" I replied to her. "Then act professional, Mer. He just started work. He'll be around you always. If he can't keep his distance, then you should be the one to step aside" she added.
Christina's right, if he can't keep his distance then I will. We continued walking until we reached the entrance.

Meredith and Christina were walking inside when someone bunped into Meredith. "Ouch!!" she exclaimed. The paperworks she was holding flew into the air then fell down on the clean floor of the building. The man picked up the papers and hands it to her. She was shocked when she realized that she realized that he just bumped into Andrew. "Here's your papers" Andrew said while giving her the remaining papers. "Thanks!!" she said taking the papers. "And please watch your steps, you're not the only one in this building. Stop bumping into other people"she added. "Let's go, Mer" Christina pulled her and walked away. Andrew was left speechless with Meredith's words.

Andrew's POV
"Oh God, I'm an idiot. Why didn't I say sorry. I mean I didn't mean to bumped into her. Well, I kinda liked it because she talked to me." I continue walking, on my way to my car outside to meet one of our most important clients. I was walking through the parking lot when I realized I'm still holding something, it was Meredith's purse. This probably fell when we bumped into each other earlier. I'll just give it to her later.

Meredith is inside her office when she realized something is missing. It was her purse, she realized her purse is gone. "Oh My God, where's it??" she asked herself. She tried to find it but she can't, then she remember about bumping into Andrew earlier. "He must've forget to give it back" she said. She walked outside her office and went straight to Derek's office. She knock and then opened the door.
"Hi, Good Morning, my love!"he stands up and walk towards Meredith. He kissed her softly on the lips. "Hi"she replied without any energy. "Hey, is something wrong? Are you sick alright? Are you sick?"he asked worriedly. "Oh no, I'm fine. It's just that i lost my purse."she said hugging Derek.
"Where'd you lost it?"he asked again. "Have you seen Andrew?" she said not answering his question. "What's Andrew's connection to this. Did he stole your purse, coz I don't think he can do that" he asked guiding Meredith on the couch. "No!, He did not stole it" she replied. Then, why are you looking for him? Derek asked once more. "It's because Christina and I bumped into him earlier this morning, he probably forgot tho hand me back my purse because Christina pulled me away"she stated. "Oh, is that so. Well, he went outside nto meet one of our most important clients" Derek said. "Okay, I'm sorry for disturbing you" she said and then stands up. "It's fine you can come here anytime. And for the record you're not disturbing me"he said kissing Meredith one last time before she walked out of the office.

Meredith walked inside the elevator and went on the third floor. She looked for Christina. She found her eating donuts on the table talking to other workers. Meredith approached, then the other employees walked away. She sat infront of Christina. "Hey, what's up?" Christina greeted offering her a chocolate coated donut. "I lost my purse!"she said to Christina. "Have you found it?"Christina replied. "No, I'm still looking for it" Meredith replied. "OMG, Andrew! He probably has your purse" Christina said while taking another bite on her donut. "Yeah, that's why I'm looking for you"Meredith said also taking a bite on her donut. "What do i have to do, You want me to report him to the police" Christina replied. "No, I want you to talk to him and get my purse"Meredith replied. Christina almost choked because of what she just heard. "Oh, c'mon Mer, you know that I'm not doing that right?" Christina said. "Please Christina!! You're my only hope"Meredith begged. "I'm sorry, Mer. I'm busy"Christina replied. "Oh, I hate you!!" Meredith replied punching Christina on the arm. "Ouch!!" Christina replied. "I gotta go, i still have some reports to do" Christina stood up and walk away leaving Meredith alone.

Hours Later......
Andrew walks back to the building. He looked for Meredith to give ber back the purse. He can't find her so he looked for Christina instead. "Hey, Christina can you give this back to Meredith?" Andrew asked trying to give the purse to Christina. "Oh no, I can't. Give it to her yourself" Christina replied then she walks away. Andrew looked for Meredith again. He found her on the lobby. "Mer!!" Andrew jumped infront of Meredith. "Oh My God!!"she was shocked. "Hey, can you stop calling me Mer, we're not close" she said. "Oh, okay Meredith Grey" Andrew said jokingly. "It's not, funny" Meredith said rolling her eyes. "Can i have my purse back?? She added. "No!!" Andrew replied quickly. "Why not??"she replied. "I won't give it back to you until you talked to me and let me explain" he stated.
"Seriously?? Aren't you tired? Please just give me back my purse!!" Meredith shouted. Other workers looked at them confusedly then started murmuring. "C'mon you don't want to make a scene here right??" Andrew replied. "You don't want to give it back to me, fine!! Keep it yourself. You think I'm going to beg you to give me back my purse, well you're wrong" she said rolling her eyes again. Andrew grabbed her arms and brought her into an empty corridor. "Let me go!!!" she exclaimed. "I won't" Andrew replied. He pinned her on the wall and looked ate her straightly on the eyes. He was about to kiss her but Meredith pushed him. "How many times do I have to remind you to stay away from me!!" Meredith shouted. He grabbed her face and forcely kissed her. Meredith pulled him away and slapped him really hard on his cheeks. "I'm sorry, Meredith. I-i uhm I didn't mean it" he tried to explain. She slapped him once more on his other cheeks "How dare you!?" She screamed and then run away.

Tears started to stream down her cheeks.
She was shocked with what just happened. Andrew just kissed her. She screamed at him. She slapped him really hard not just once but twice. She ran down the stairs until she reached her office. She locked the door and started crying out loud.

The day finally ends, Meredith tried to fix herself and act normal. She walked outside her office, she did not bother to look for Christina. She just went straight to the parking lot and start her car. While driving home she felt mix of emotions on her heart. She felt angry angry at Andrew but she didn't mean to slap him. She felt terrible because she feels like she's betraying Derek.

She did not drive to her and Derek's place. She went on her apartment near Grey+Sloan Memorial Hospital. She opened the door, locked it and went straight to her room she did not get a chance to change her clothes or remove her makeup, she didn't even take off her shoes. She just lay down on bed, she close her eyes and tried to sleep.
