It's been 2 months since Meredith got back on Seattle from New York. Almost one month since Andrew went back to Paris.
He never told Meredith that he's going back to Paris because she's been avoiding him.

Meredith was sitting on the couch inside Derek's office. She's waiting for him, this time she's ready to tell him everything that he needs to know.

Derek walked in and saw Meredith. She stand up, Derek walks closer to her and kisses her on the cheeks. "Is something wrong?" he asked. "Can we talk?" she asked. "Of course" Derek replied. "Okay, i just want to be honest to you, I am sorry, I'm sorry for treating you like this, I'm sorry if I can't give back the love you're giving me. I want to love you the way you love me but I can't, I don't know why but I can't" she said. Tears came streaming down he cheeks. "Meredith, what are you talking about? I love you and I'm not asking anything in return" Derek replied holding back his tears. "I know, i know that. But what's the point of us being together, when I can't even look at you and tell you that you're the one that i want. I want to tell you that I love you, but my heart is beating for someone else and I hate it, i hate it" she said, more tears streams down her cheeks. "Is this because of Andrew?" he asked still holding back his tears. Meredith was surprised when he mentioned Andrew. She looked at him confusedly. "It's because of Andrew, right? He told me everything Mer, he told me your whole story. He told me the reason why he needs to go back to Paris. He told me about that night in New York" he said looking at her. "You know it all this time and you never told me, I slept with him and you never saud a thing?" she asked. "I love you Meredith, I can't loose you, i know it was a mistake" he said.

She's not saying anything, tears are flowing down he delicate cheeks. "Do you love him?" he asked breaking the silence. "I-um-" before she could speak he cuts her off. He knows what she's going to say and that made him cry. "You don't need to speak, I already know the answer" he said, tears are streaming down his cheeks. "I'm sorry Derek" she said. He didn't say a thing he just smiled at her. She hands him an envelope it was a resignation letter.

"You're leaving?" he asked. "Yeah" she replied. They both stand up. "You should go now and gain him back. I love you Meredith, I want you to be happy and if I can't be the man who's making you happy then I'm letting you go to find the man who's going to make you happier" he hugs her one last time. She hugged him back tighter. They both cried pulling away. He smiled at her, she smiled back at him.

It's over now she's free, it's like a thorn was taken off on her chest. She smiled as she walks to the elevator. She went straight home.

She found Christina inside her house. Packing Meredith's clothes. She ran to her and hugged her.

"Are you really sure you're going to follow him on France?" Christina asked. "Yeah, i want to talk to him and there's something important that he needs to know" she smiled. They continued packing her things.

It's almost 6 pm when they arrived at the airport. "Call me when you're there, okay?" Christina said. "Of course!" she said happily. "Make sure you're going to gain him back or else I will kill you both" Christina said chuckling. Meredith punched her arms. She smiled at him then she walked away. She waved good-bye to her one last time.

She was smiling with the thought that she could finally be with him. She closed her eyes as she felt the plane take off.
