"Now what is the plan for today" Sirius asked breaking the silence. "We were going to have a picnic but can't really can we" James said. "Since when did James Potter say can't there is always a way" Sirius replied. "How are you meant to get there then you can bearly walk" James said. "That abandoned shopping trolley, it's still at the end of the road right?" Sirius asked.
After convincing Mrs Potter and Remus they grabbed pillows and Mrs Potter filled a picnic basket with food and grabbed a picnic mat. James and Peter ran to get the trolley as Remus helped Sirius walk down the stairs. When they opened the door the boys were there and they had stuffed pillows into the trolley. Remus in one swift movent lifted Sirius and placed him into the trolley.
Peter held the basket and after James began running with the trolley Remus took it off him and they began to walk to the nearby park. The same one where Sirius had once climbed a poll and fallen getting caught by James.
When they arrived Peter set out the mat and Remus lifted Sirius and put him down on it. Sirius was wearing warm joggers and a short sleeve shirt despite the cold, but a lot of his new bruises were now visible from this, but he didn't care. It was only just coming up to eleven and Remus ordered that they shouldn't eat till at least noon or they would be very hungry before dinner despite Peter and James' protests.
Sirius layed back though his back ached against the ground and looked at the sky the clouds seeming to have no shape over then the average clouds. He felt different, he didn't know why he just did. He then felt eyes on him and he turned to see Remus looking down at him. "You like what you see" he chuckled. "We will return" James said out of nowhere and he and Peter ran off probaly planning some sort of scheme. Remus layed down next to Sirius looking into his eyes "Maybe I do" he smiled and he took Sirius' hand in his. Sirius shuffled over a bit and layed his head on Remus' chest. "I should of left as soon as she first hurt me, but I couldn't, and then I argued with her and...." Sirius said. Remus began to play with his boyfriend hair before saying "It's not your fault you didn't leave, she's your mother" he replied. It was silent for a few seconds before Remus asked. "What was the argument about?" he asked making sure his tone wasn't pushy. "Um she, she had found out from a students parent about us and she said something, about you and I lost it" Sirius replied.
The taller boy squeezed the shorter one closer saying "You shouldn't of done that padfoot" he said. "Yeah totally, it was a good first five seconds seeing her face drop though" he replied chuckling. "Come on lovebirds it's fire time" James then said making the two sit up as the two boys dropped sticks onto the ground infront of them. "One no, two why do you need a fire" Remus said. James froze for a second before replying "Why not plus hypothermia?" He replied. For the next half an hour Peter and James rubbed sticks together trying to make fire but finnaly gave up and at that point noon had came so they began to dig in.
There were tarts and Sandwiches and delicious buttered hot cross buns. It was big and filling and when three pm hit they said they better head back. Sirius found himself in the trolley again and Remus reluctantly agreed to let James push. They were all laughing when Peter nearly got hit by the trolley a road away when they heard a roar of a shout "YOU DARE SHOW UP HERE?!"shouted the voice of Euphemia Potter. The boys began to speed up getting closer when they heard a yell back "This is nothing to do with you" a voice shreiked back, the hairs at the back of Sirius neck stood up on edge, it couldn't be.
"This had everything to do with me when that boy showed up on my doorstep almost dead" she roared back. They could see the two people by now. Sirius got out the trolley gripping the edge as support as they got closer. "Where is he?" She hissed. The sound of the rattling trolley made her spin round her cane not even moving. Sirius looked into the dark eyes of his mother. "You're coming home now" she hissed. "No" he said back and Remus gripped his arm. "This is him, the creature" she said and she raised her wand trying to decide which of the two boys to aim at.
"Don't you dare" hissed Euphemia raising her wand also. Sirius made a dangerous step infront of Remus to try and shield the boy "Go" he said to his mother. She did not lower her wand. "Come home now" she hissed again. "Last warning" Euphemia spoke. Walburga lowered her want turned about to apparate and then shreiked out the words "Crucio" before disappearing. Sirius was hit falling back into his lovers arms shaking he turned himself round gripping onto Remus' shirt and burying his head into the boys shoulder trying as best as he could to stand as Remus held him up. It was silent and Sirius finnaly stopped shaking. "Sh-Se g-go-gon" he began to say his words stuttered. "You're safe you're safe" Remus said stroking the boys hair and they began to all walk in. After a few seconds Remus picked Sirius up bridal style and walked in "U-up" Sirius muttered it was loud enough for the others to hear and Mrs Potter nodded. Remus went up to Sirius' room and layed the boy in his bed. "S-s-sorry moons" he muttered. Remus crouched down beside him "There's nothing to be sorry about" he replied and placed a kiss on the boys head.
