Chapter 15

Sirius was all together surprised and confused on where Remus was, his questions were soon answered when he received a unexpected letter at breakfast it read:

Sirius,
I've grown apart from you
We can't be together anymore
I'm sorry
Remus.

He had to read it over and over about four times for the words to settle in and each time more tears seemed to form in his eyes till finnaly he knew what had happened, Remus had left him. He stood up and got out the hall as soon as possible and he ran to the dorms and then he fell into his bed, sobbing.

Remus was still in the owlery tears falling from his face he had slid down the wall and was just sitting there on the ground. He had the first class free so his plan was to just sit there and not move, he wanted to do that forever. He then heard the pitter patter of footsteps and stood up they stopped at the top of the stairs yet no one was there, confusion fell across him, then in a few seconds the invisibility cloak was whipped of the figure and they wore smirk on there face. It wasn't James or Peter or Sirius, but non over then the creator if this madness himself, Regulus Black.

"What do you want?" Remus said through gritted teeth glaring at the person before him. "Now moony I'd watch your tone if I was you" he said using the nickname only reserved for the mauraders. He then carried on "You have left my brother in a proper mess which is lovely, now I want you to really screw with him, pass him one of these every lesson your next to him" he said passing him some notes. "And when you finish with them, return here" he said. "The cloak?" Remus asked. "To easy to steal now run along" and so Remus walked off not daring know what Regulus had written on the notes.

Two weeks Sirius had been receiving these notes and it was a horrible. He opened each one just in hope something would say something different but it was always on the lines off:
I never loved you,
Your disgusting,
It was all fake,
FAG

They all knew about it by now all the Marauders, Remus avoided them all only going into the room at the stroke of midnight and closing his bed curtains, they only ever saw him in class.

He had ran out of notes and he feared what was next for Sirius' sake. He went to the owlery and there he was like he had never left. "Come with me to the astronomy tower" he said and with that Regulus flipped on cloak on and Remus followed not entirely sure where Regulus was as they walked through the deserted corridors.

It was mid lesson on a Friday nearly everyone would be in lessons or on a free period no one would be around the hallways. They went to the astronomy tower and there Regulus took the cloak of he had a bigger smirk then usual on his face, he went to stand over by the bars and guestered for Remus to do the same they were just looking at the horizon and then Regulus spoke one word "Jump". Shock flowed through Remus "What!" He spluttered. "Your work is done and you know to much, jump or I kill both the red head and potter" he sneered. Remus looked down as Regulus added "You'll keep your wand on you, but don't try save yourself you know the consequences" he said.

Remus was almost shaking and then he pulled himself together and thought this through. He had to, he had to do it. But even if he died he had to do something, something that could help them all realise it was Regulus, how could Regulus hide without the cloak and so in a matter of seconds he hatched a plan.

Regulus was now standing about three meters away from the bar, so as quick as possible Remus ran towards him,snatched the cloak and quickly spun so he was facing the edge, he ran at in and jumped over the bar and there he began to fall.

Tears fell down his eyes. It finnaly set in he was about to die, he was never going to see his parents, his friends, Sirius ever again. He screwed his eyes shut and let the wind howling around him die out to nothing. His face was soaked with tears at this point. And then it stopped he felt like he was floating, he most of hit the ground, this was it, he was gone. He found himself doing something gliding down it felt like but he kept his eyes sealed shut.

A warmth then surrounded him it was nice, familiar but his eyes were still shut and he did not dare make a noise, he had blocked out all sound around him if there was any it was silence.

"What the fuck,what the fuck, what the fuck" James kept repeating in pure shock. Lily let out a squeak that seemed to be James name but it wasn't identifiable. Her and Sirius were a lost of words. The three of them had been heading to the greenhouses they had a free period and they were going to meet Peter who's lesson would be ending soon. Sirius was in the same sad mood he had been in for awhile when he heard James say "Is that a person". Sirius looked at were he was pointing it was, they were falling through the air, they were about 15 metres from the ground when they realised who it was and without hesitation Sirius whipped out his wand and yelled "Wingardium leviosa". It was Remus, Sirius lowered him, he wasn't moving just tears falling down his face. And Sirius let him fall into his arms as he went to the floor holding the boy in his arms as he sobbed and James began his swearing.
